Train Wright Julia is an expert dog trainer who offers one on one training, board & training, day training, dog daycare, boarding and dog socialization.

Julia offers behaviour modification, ecollar training, confidence building and and relationship based training. My behavioral techniques I use for training comes from world renown Cheri Lucas- Protege of Cesar Millan, Aggression and dog behavioural expert Nelson Hodges, and Alicia Bloomfield. Miss Cora - my day train dog- had a great weekend with her mom doing homework. She’s just starting week three and her mom reports she’s been able to start passing dogs without Cora loosing her marbles.
What’s cool about training is, we haven’t even gotten into addressing the dog reactivity yet. Just her being immersed with dogs at the kennel has greatly diminished her reaction to seeing them on the street.
I love when behaviours start to change without directly addressing them. Makes it much easier to root out the hard stuff.

The benefits of socialization groups.. one of my clients had their dog attacked the morning of our socialization class by a neighbours dog.
The dog had been previously reactive and there was some concern about emotional backlash from the incident.
After confirming there were no serious injuries or veterinary services needed, I agreed it would be a great idea for him to attend. He did amazing and had one of his best moments of socializing yet.
They did leave a bit early to keep things super positive and short, but they were so grateful to have a social group available to help recover from such a negative incident.
Recovery with other dogs is extremely important after a negative altercation with another dog to prevent future behavior issues from occurring.

My number one client is a dog who had one traumatic attack- serious or not, that was never recovered from properly. And so I want to ensure my current or past clients have resources available to help support their dogs in any way possible!

Great turnout for our group class last night at Bellevue Park. It was a beautiful stroll through the park, challenging our dogs to walk past other dogs, to sit and stay with people walking by, and to maintain a loose leash or a heel position.

Poppy’s in for three week obedience day training. This week is her last week and so I’ve been challenging her more with crowds in town with people walking by and building more impulse control. She’s doing very well with me, but still challenging mom in certain aspects.
Poppy’s mom had a go home class last Friday with homework on the weekend and she will have a class with me again this week, with four more follow up classes to ensure things go smoothly at home. She’s reported much better behavior but still challenges with mouthing people! We’ll be working more on that behaviour this week.

Hey friends, as we go into fall just a reminder that Group Classes are starting again. I have one scheduled for this coming Wednesday for 645pm.

Weather depending it’ll be at Bellevue park, if the weathers poor we’ll relocate to the Bondar tent.

Who can attend: Anyone who’s completed a training course of three or more consecutive classes

These two knuckle heads kept each other entertained while it rained off and on this week. It’s hard to get out and walk dogs when it stops raining for only 5 mins at a time. But these two got to take advantage of the reprieve and get some energy out.
