My behavioral techniques I use for training comes from world renown Cheri Lucas- Protege of Cesar Millan, Aggression and dog behavioural expert Nelson Hodges, and Alicia Bloomfield. I have been training dogs for years and have finally decided to make it a business and make a difference in my community. I strive to be the best and give the best, so I train with the best!

This gorgeous little cutey has started her puppy training. She’s smart as a whip, and is so very sweet. She got to meet Cooper and she was ecstatic, and Cooper, who loves puppies was super excited to meet her as well!
Her mom is dedicated to little Sandy’s education, and so I’m sure she’ll be in great hands as she progresses through the classes!

Lola is doing amazing working on her recall with her mother. Since she’s started her ecollar off leash program she’s connected so much more with her mom, that it’s hard to get some distraction recalls in!
Lola has been notorious for getting loose and playing the keep away game, while we in between traffic downtown where they live. A little frightening and so her mother really wanted to put a stop to that dangerous behavior. Only grandma bribing with treats was enough to get her to come back.
And so she’s come heads and tails from that behaviour now. Our next class will be her off leash test!

Cosmo had an evaluation this week with me, and absolutely had the worst case of barking I’ve seen! We couldn’t do any sort of successful obedience without reinforcing excessive barking. I finally decided it was time to address the issues by putting it on cue.
It sounds funny tho doesn’t it? Put the behaviour you hate on cue? But it then makes the dog understand what the behaviour is called. Once you establish that, you put the behaviour your want ( such as SSSHHHH) on cue as well. How this works is by marking and naming the inbetween barking when you asked for it on cue.
It took a good amount of reps but we successfully put both on cue and reduced his excessive demand barking episode by half. His family have some work to do but I think he’s a lucky guy to have such a great home with dedicated parents!

Tilly finished her Obedience Foundations class this morning! She did amazing at her sits, stays and downs, and recalls.
She’ll be enrolling into our Obedience Intermediate program this August. In the meantime her parents are working hard at keeping up with her training during her “summer break”!
