And thats the second clinic of our ❄️ winter clinic series ❄️ wrapped! A huge thank you to Jessica Phoenix (@officialteamphoenix) for running such an upbeat and informative clinic! 🐴
Jessica provided some key takeaways from this clinic, including:
1. Focusing on riding a consistent “system” of straight lines and turns. She explained that the rider should find and ride a line parallel to their fence, and from that line, choose an adequate turn to approach the fence. In doing so, one keeps the horse’s rhythm consistent and puts their horse in a balanced, straight, and confident place to jump from. Straightness was key to the exercises she challenged our riders with.
2. The importance of using your eyes. Jessica explained that our eyes guide the horse’s energy in the direction we want to go. If our eyes stray from our next jump, we may fall off our line and miss our straight turn off of the line parallel to the fence.
3. Finally, Jessica importantly made sure every single rider had a fun, positive, and confidence-boosting experience. Thank you Jessica, for emphasizing the amazing things about each and every rider while still providing critical feedback!
Keep a look out for our next winter clinic: once again, Meredith Risk from Nobleton Dressage is coming back for another round of lessons! See you there! 😉
Emma is getting back to work and Baby Caiden is growing up! He looks so much like his daddy, Caddyshack B 😍

We are busy filming for our Virtual Lesson on Friday! It will have lots of tips, riding clips, and horsemanship information. Topics will range from blanketing, grooming, and basic riding position for our less advanced riders to booting, wrapping and riding tips for our more advanced riders. Here’s a sneak peak of Lindsay demonstrating how to (and how not to!) feed a treat 🤣
If you haven’t yet registered for the class Friday, you can do so here: https://zoom.us/meeting/register/tJ0rd-6upzouH9VexPA_hTX2-yCSvpZ_F8at. We will also record the lesson for later viewing.

Check out our new Hay OptiMizer! It’s designed with a slow feed net to prevent wasted hay, which means tidier paddocks and happy horses nibbling all day! Willow and Foxy dove in right away ❤️
We couldn’t be happier with the speedy service and quality of the feeder. We’re happy to be supporting a 🇨🇦 Canadian-made product and small business during these challenging times.
We hope everyone is having a wonderful, relaxing long weekend! See you on Tuesday.
Sharky did his first XC school today and was a total star!! Thanks for giving him such a great ride @biancaiddiols ❤️

We couldn’t let Lindsay and the riders that went to Wits End yesterday have all the fun! Here’s Diva, one of our newest school horses doing her first cross country lesson in our field at home. She was a super star!🌟
