Jessica is a level 3/high performance 1 Dressage Coach. She has been long and short listed for the Canadian Equestrian Team. She began riding the age of 6 in England and was involved in pony club. Upon immigrating to Canada in 1979 she continued with pony club and began eventing. While still in high school Jessica became a working student for Hans and Eva-Marie Pracht and switched focus to Dressage.
In the late 80’s Jessica trained and competed in Florida. In 1982 she was part of the Ontario Team at North American Young Riders Championships. She finished in the top 12 and was the highest placed Ontario rider.
Jessica continued on to be a working student for Christilot Boylen and then Cindy and Neil Ishoy. She also trained with Tom Dvorak. Jessica still calls Tom for help and advice.
In 1994 Jessica started her own business teaching and training. She has been consistently working with horses and students ever since. All horses are special to Jessica but the two most important to her were Don Bariton and Litmannen. She trained both horses from young horses to Grand Prix. Don Bariton’s career highlight was placing 6th at the final Olympic trial in 1996. Litmannen, or “Liddy” he was known (owned by the late July Elliott) won the Intermediare I Freestyle at Devon as was a close contender for the 2003 Pan Am Games.
