❤️ In memory of Beau Jacobson, from the words of one of his beloved family members, Lisa Jacobson:

Beau was one of a kind. From his personality all the way to his short tail and missing paws he was truly 1 of 1. He loved life and all of us unconditionally. He always knew when to play and when it was time to just lay around. He loved the mountains and the lake especially when there were sticks to grab. From playing fetch with his football to cleaning up the mess he left after every drink of water, we will miss him every day and are forever thankful we got to be his family. We love you forever Beau and we miss you already.

Happy Thanksgiving!

At a year and a half you became sick;
I wanted a dog and did not have to pick.
You came to me, my dream had come true;
From the moment I met you I just knew.

You needed some medicine, love and attention
And a small bit of patience I might as well mention.
I brought you home and you puked up some rocks;
I’m surprised that you never brought up any socks.
You stole food off the counter and a picnic from a table,
You seemed to swallow anything you were physically able.

You ran and you hiked with me, played ball and more,
Canoed with me, swam with me, dragged me to shore.
Saw me through boyfriends and breakups and grief;
Your hugs and companionship brought me relief.

Although I spent most of my personal wealth,
I cannot repay you for my mental health.
You were so worth it and there is no greater glory
To be blessed with the memories to tell this story.
If I could do it all over I certainly would;
Until one owns a dog love is not understood.
