A Story of Resilience and Hope from Carriacou Animal Hospital ️
Dear Supporters,
On July 1, 2024, the beautiful island of Carriacou was devastated by the catastrophic Hurricane Beryl. Amidst the destruction, Team Carriacou Animal Hospital stood strong, ensuring the safety of all our beloved residents and patients. Since then, we have been tirelessly distributing FREE dog and cat food, tick and flea treatment, and heartworm prevention, while providing vital veterinary services to all in need, mostly injured pets. ❤️
Despite our benevolent efforts to find a solution, our landlords refused all offers to rebuild the facility. This disregard forced us into a heart-wrenching decision. On Saturday, we had no choice but to decide to leave our home of 12 years. Yesterday, Tuesday, July 30th, we officially left our cherished location. It was a sad day, but also a new beginning. We cherish the memories, but look forward to creating new ones.
Carriacou Animal Hospital is not just a location; it is an organization and a spirit dedicated to providing top-notch veterinary care to the island's companion animals. We WILL find a new location and rebuild bigger and better than ever.
In the interim, we are committed to reaching out to each and every community. We understand the challenges people face in getting around right now. ️ We have a temporary surgery facility already in action and will continue to offer ALL the services we have provided in the past, just in a different way. Our first outreach clinic is today already in Windward.
Thank you to all of you who have donated so far. Your support means more to us now than ever before. Please share our story with your friends and loved ones.
Together, we will rise from this stronger and more united. Thank you for standing by us. ✨
