#HappyHolidays from all of us here at Park Veterinary Centre! ☃️ 🎉
Here at our clinic, we are often asked by owners of indoor cats whether vaccination is really necessary. To that we say, ‘Let's talk!’
Vaccination helps protect your cat from serious diseases. If you have any questions or would like to schedule your pet’s wellness visit, please contact us https://nva.vetstoria.com/booking/5931b8ad641f4/?r=6
Rake up a pile of leaves in your yard or at a local park and let your dog play and jump in the leaves. It's a fun and interactive activity for dogs. 🍁🐶🍃
An important part of your pet’s check-up is receiving needed vaccinations as determined by your veterinarian. Many vaccines require regular booster doses in order to continue helping protect your pet from disease. Your pet’s vaccines may even change from one year to the next depending on whether there have been any changes to your pet’s activities or where you live.

Mmm, fresh parsley!
Nothing like a delicious snack to feel better after surgery! What's your pet's favorite treat?
Both VCA Canada Guardian Veterinary Centre and Pulse Veterinary Specialists & Emergency in recent weeks have been running on a triage basis (non-emergent cases might be asked to book with their regular vet once they reopen or wait 2+ hours to be seen by a veterinarian) some days due to the overwhelming number of patients seeking veterinary care.
Some emergencies are obvious, such as if your dog or cat has stopped breathing. Your bird has broken a blood feather and is bleeding profusely. In those cases, of course, you will call the emergency vet.
But what about other concerns? A slip and fall that leads to a slight limp, the sudden discovery of a rash or ear infection — are those the kind of emergencies that require a rush to the hospital? If you are unsure, take a moment to call ahead first, where someone will be able to provide you with further directions.
Please remember if you are asked to wait or book with your regular vet, it is not that no one wants to help your pet. There is probably patients that require their immediate attention and might be in a life or death situation.
🇨🇦🐾 Happy Canada Day! 🐾🇨🇦
We would be honoured if you shared a picture of your beloved pets that are no longer with us, but are forever in your hearts this World Pet Memorial Day.
World Veterinary Day was created in 2000 by the World Veterinary Association to highlight and promote the lifesaving work performed by the veterinary community around the world.
This past year our veterinarians here at Park Veterinary Centre demonstrated their abilities to adjust and adapt during the pandemic to ensure they continued to provide veterinary care to animals in need while maintaining public health safety for their owners.
We thank you for giving everything both emotionally and physically every day to ensure every animal is provided the best veterinary care possible.
