One evening at a dinner party one of our good friends posed the question to the group "What would you do if you won the lotto for $10 million today?". Everybody in the group was quick to rattle off loans they would pay off, things they would buy for themselves and loved ones, trips they would take and charities they would support. I was the only one at the table who said I would do all the same th

ings except I wouldn't quit my job. I said I would invest in my veterinary practise and continue practising. Anybody who knows me would not be even a little bit surprised by my response. I absolutely love what I do and have never felt like I have worked a day in my life. Until that dinner party, I had not realized what a gift I had, to love my work. I want to spend the remainder of my career practising in my own community and contributing something back to this wonderful group of people who have shaped this lovely rural neighbourhood. Our community is a joy to live in, a paradise for our children and full of people who love animals as much as I do.

Hello everyone ! Mr.Jack was in today for his annual exam and vaccines. He just wanted to remind everyone to look ahead and check if you need any prescription refills or if you will be needing to order any food before we are closed for the holidays !
Please allow atleast 2 buisness days for any food orders to arrive and for prescriptions to be filled 😇

The clinic will be closed Monday December 23rd to Sunday December 29th
We will return to our regular business hours December 30th, 31st, January 2nd and 3rd. We will be closed Wednesday January 1st for New Year’s Day. 🎄❄️☃️

Ali had a caudal mastectomy to treat for a small nodule that was mammary cancer and we got the great news that the surgical margins are clean!❤️ She didn’t have any spread of the cancer yet either. ❤️❤️
She was in very good spirits today for her suture removal with our RVT Miranda.
Ali has had puppies and of course a number of heat cycles so it is important to palpate the mammary glands monthly for any nodules. We biopsy all mammary nodules to screen for cancer since early surgical intervention is key.

Today we celebrated our RVT Trina and her upcoming bundle of joy. This is her last week with us before heading off on maternity leave. We're all are so excited for her and her family and are going to miss her so much while she takes time with her baby.

A boy and his dog 💙. And she carries toys! You’ll note the bright yellow dog toy balanced on her back that she maintained throughout her appointment. At home mom said she carries stuffies💕💕

Our RVT Ashley and her new rescue kitten Frankie. Ashley and her family have a full house of critters but they still seem to always be able to make room for a little soul in need ❤️🐾. He comes to work with her every day because he’s so little he needs extra feedings.

We finished off our day with delightful little Freddie the goat kid for a checkup since he lost his mama and is being bottle fed🩵💙. He made our day! Miranda and Abi, two of our amazing RVTs, caught a quick pic with our little celebrity.

When the dog’s away the cats will play! 😂😂🐱🐾. Connie has taken over Lola’s bed, toys and treats in her absence from work today! Lola comes to work with Dr Karen every day EXCEPT Mondays and Connie our rescue cat has taken full advantage!
💕Connie is still looking for a home 💕. She is very good with dogs she wanted me to add to this post.

Farm Cat Spay/Neuter Clinic 2024 is done!! We had ONE HUNDRED fine farmy felines walk through the door! 🐱
Sweet itsy bitsy Coco in Trina’s arms in the pic was number 100 but he was too small for neuter today. Instead he enjoyed lots of cuddles and snacks with us💕

This year we had a lot of cats with one testicle! They can’t be neutered on this program as they need additional surgery to find the other testicle and remove it. Leaving undescended testicles often results in them becoming cancerous. Cats with one testicle are called cryptorchid and it is heritable so please get this guys with one testicle neutered asap. Cats with one descended testicle are still very fertile so produce many unwanted kittens.

Thankyou again to our community for supporting this program once again! We enjoy providing this service to try to minimize unwanted cats in our rural community. And Thankyou to our amazing volunteer for cat neuter days Tammy!💕🐾

Meet Connie! Our newest rescue that is now available for adoption 🐈

She came to us when one of our clients found her out in Beaver County wandering around with no family to be found. She was instantly super loving and is always wanting attention - and food! She is a beauty as well and she knows it! She has paid no mind to any dogs she has met so far (may just want to play) and would be great with kids.

We love a good homecoming 💕

Pika has been missing since May and her owners didn’t think they were going to see her again. Someone in the rural community brought her to us today and because of her microchip we found her owners! They were ecstatic and so excited to bring her home! 🐈

Please get your pets microchipped, it is the best way for them to find their way home 🏡
