Our Leave With Ease private one-on-one dog walks are so enjoyable. 🐶👩‍🦯
Dale is back walking with Colby for a few days, in preparation for 24/7 care in a few weeks.
It gives them both time to re-establish their bond from the past. 🥰
When 💯of our focus for 45 minutes is on your dog only, we can work on verbal cues, positive treat reinforcement, and not have to worry about "pack" interactions with other dogs.
A great way to provide force/fear free pet care when other pups aren't involved.

Now this is getting ridiculous!
Leo the Bengal mix has to be the smartest kitten we've ever had to do a pet sit. 🐈🐱🥰
He's actually been trained to use the toilet. 🧻🚽
That's right...the toilet...not the litter box!
When he's done his business, he scratches on the lid to tell us that it's time to flush. 🧻🚽
So when Frank joined Dale on a cat sit, he had to wait in line. 🥸🤓🙃
Wait patiently until Leo finishes peeing. 😖😭
Standing in line at a sporting event is one thing...but having to wait for a cat to finish going potty??? 😖
We learn new things every day at Leave With Ease about animal behaviour, but this one is going to be hard to beat! 🤣

Our Leave With Ease pet care family keeps on growing.
Welcome to Leo the Bengal mix, with the tiger markings. 🐈
He's quite the character, as he likes going potty in the toilet, not the litter box. 🚽🧻🚹
Yes, we keep the toilet lid open so he can do his business just like his human guardians!!! 🤪
And to Sushi, the Siamese that needs insulin shots twice a day, and takes her meds like a real trooper 💉💉
Dale has the honour of doing these cat sits for the next week, and is having a great time learning the unique characteristics of each kitten!

You may wonder what is involved with pet sitting.
With cats 🐱, you clean the litter box and check/add to food and water.
Maybe water some plants 🪴🌿 and bring in mail/packages.
Finally there is time to bond!
My cat sit with Piper always involves brushing, and time for cuddling on my belly!
Happy kitty 😻 = happy pet sitter 🥸🥰!

Sorry for the poor quality of the first pic in the shower, but yes it's all the same cat. 🐱
At Leave With Ease, we're well aware that every single kitten has their own unique personality.
But finding Fresca in the shower stall 🚿 was a new one for us!
This is now our 5th set of visits with Fresca with her thyroid issues.
She's on meds 💊💊twice a day, and eats two cans of food at both the morning and evening feedings spaced 12 hours apart.
So cuddly, purry, and happy😺😻 to see us on every pet sit!

Dale will be doing overnight pet sitting for this gregarious Golden Doodle 🐶for the next few days.
Hudson is in his senior years, with some aches & pains as he gets older.
Aren't we all feeling the same way? 🤣

There are SO many posts about lost pets these days. 🐶🐱🐔
Rescue groups such as ROAM and FLED; it never seems to end!
As owners, pet sitters, and dog walkers, there are many things we can do to keep pets safe & secure:
Beware the "door dash". You can use your body as a barrier to prevent a pet from darting out as you enter or exit the home.
Never leave dogs outside unsupervised, as many pups can dig a hole under the fence.
Boredom is a common motivator for pets who escape. If you're away, ensure that your pets are getting an adequate number of visits and that pet sits include adequate enrichment.
Have your pet spayed/neutered to reduce roaming tendencies.
Ensure your pet has a collar with an ID tag that includes their contact information.
Have pets microchipped as it provides a permanent form of identification that cannot be lost.

We're starting to be regulars at The Empress...and not for high tea!
This is our second dog sitting 🐶visit at the iconic hotel in the past 10 days, for visitors to Victoria.
Welcome to beautiful Arya the Belgian Sheepdog to our Leave With Ease family. 👍
Her guardians were visiting from Oregon, and needed pet care for 5 hours while they experienced a whale watching tour. 🐳
Dale had little trouble keeping her occupied, with frequent walks both inside & outside the hotel.
Thank you to the staff for being so accommodating!

Yes, we love all of our doggy clients equally.
But look at those faces.
We have to admit, these two are the cutest pups ever. 🐶🐶
Welcome Mozart & Melody to our Leave With Ease dog walking 🧑‍🦯🧑‍🦯family!
Both of these Maltese doggies are 12.5 yrs old, but there is quite the difference in size.
Melody is 12 lbs. while Mozart is 5 lbs., but both could classify as lap dogs.
Poor Mozart...he takes 3 steps to one for Melody!
Hurry up Mozart...slow down Melody...this is going to be fun!!!

She's a 1 1/2 yr old Bearded Collie, that loves chasing sticks on the beach.
Frank & Dale did today's delightful trial walk, in preparation for Angela doing the walks moving forward.

Not all of our pet sits are for local clients.
Buster's guardians were in Victoria from Delta, and needed us to sit with him while they attended Tea at the Empress.
Buster came prepared for a day in the hot sun.
He had a stroller for transport, as his eyesight is very poor.
And of course his breathing is labored as a Pug cross.
A glorious afternoon spent in the shade, on the lawn of the Empress watching the Pride Parade.
A great way for Dale & Buster to spend a Sunday afternoon!
