House Hippoe

After 2.5 months boarding with me at House Hippoe, Gippi and Matku's family have returned home and they will be leaving our care today.

I am so grateful to have had these truly amazing little piggies stay with us. They are friendly, cuddly and had the loudest wheeks of any piggies I've ever had the pleasure of boarding! You always knew when these two wanted something 😄 🫶🏻 They were neighbors to my own two girls and enjoyed touching noses and visiting through the grids often. It warned my heart to watch them all enjoying each other's company over the past several weeks.

I will miss these lovely little girls so much. Over the past 2.5 months, they have become a big part of our family. We hope to see them again in the near future! 🩷🥹

We are so fortunate to have so many piggies joining us over the holidays this year! ❤️💚 With so many very sweet and good little piggies, Santa made sure to stop by our piggy playroom with stockings full of treats and a few toys 🎅

My Nelly and Splat are beautiful senior ladies now at 6 years old. Beginning to show their age but doing so gracefully 🧡💛 They still enjoy hearing visiting friends and chatting away to make them feel welcome 🥰

~12 Guineas and Santa~
Santa he was snoozing
And Christmas eve was near
Animals and people
Were all full of Christmas cheer

The snow it had been falling
And everywhere was white
Mistletoe and holly
Added colour to the sight

A Christmas tree was twinkling
Love and laughter filled the air
Food lay on the table
Santa snuggled in his chair

Everyone upon the Earth
And animals all knew
The love that comes from Santa
Is so special and so true

So when a special guinea
Charlie Parsley was his name
Decided to meet Santa
All his friends they did the same

In total twelve small guinea pigs
Arrived at Santa’s door
They saw him sat upon his chair
And crept across the floor

So as not to wake him
The guineas took great care
And snuggled down upon his knee
While some sat on the chair

The guineas were all cosy
And happy to be there
And Charlie looked at Santa's face
He couldn't help but stare

Charlie knew that face so well
Although they’d never met
The love that shone from Santa
Is the purest you can get

Charlie couldn’t help but wheek
His little heart did race
When Santa opened up his eye
A smile spread on his face

“Hello there little Charlie”
Santa said with a soft sigh
“I knew that you would find me
When the time it came to try”

And reaching up so gently
Santa tickled Charlie’s chin
And Charlie tilted back his head
Upon his face a grin

“I know that you are loved at home”
Said Santa with a smile
“And though you will be missed a lot
I need your help a while”

The guineas all were happy
Helping Santa was great fun
Although there was a lot of snow
The days still had some sun

Food and warmth were plenty
Lots of playtime with good friends
And Charlie thinks of home sometimes
Loving kisses there he sends
