Happy Holidays Sooke, Shirley and Westshore people! I’m updating all you doggo lovers about our next chapter of Kandl Pets.

This January we are giving away free samples of our new dog treats to 20 different people! If you want a sample pack just comment here, I only ask for a review of how your doggo responded! They will be available for sale sometime at the end of January 2025.

They are all natural dog treats!! Currently I’m making peanut butter dog biscuits as well as pumpkin dog biscuits.

All treats are made from natural and organic ingredients.
Limited ingredients include:
🐶Organic oat flour
🐶free range egg
🐶all natural peanut butter
🐶pumpkin purée
🐶organic turkey bone broth, enriched w/ dehydrated ground turkey, small amounts of dehydrated parsley, and small amounts of tumeric.
🐶No gmo, dairy or wheat, no soy, no corn, no salt or sugar, no additives or food colouring.

Later in February 2025 we will be making all natural dog turkey jerky and chicken jerky, and yam chews as well as cat treats too!

Every time rescue is asked to take an owner surrender- we have to somehow make room on our little raft for that dog. When an owner says stuff like “I don’t have time to give them the best life” or “I have to move” or “they have too much anxiety” it really falls flat because that means if we bring them on the raft, another dog out there in the freezing water gets to die.

Every day in rescue we adjudicate life and death by gate keeping who can get on the boat.

Rescues and shelters are the tiny rescue boats.

The ship is our community at large.

The iceberg is comprised of puppy mills, careless owners, backyard breeders, and a$$hats who won’t spay/neuter.

It was a very sad day yesterday morning. I got a call yesterday from Princesses family that while she was out in her backyard enjoying the sunshine and beautiful morning she was suddenly attacked by a cougar. She was 20 years old and did not have the reflexes to escape the cougars quick action. The cougar was startled by Princesses family when they came out to investigate the noise they heard and he/she ran off. Unfortunately Princess passed away from this attack, she was too old to survive such a violent encounter.

I really enjoyed taking care of this lovely old lady and was even scheduled to take care of her very soon this month. I send condolences and comfort to her family during this difficult period.

I just spent 13 marvellous days doing drop in service for these two beautiful pups! What a lovely experience I had with these two sweethearts.
