You may have noticed, we've been closed a few more days than usual this month...to be honest we are struggling to stay in business. We have been working in Kamloops and Vernon for another business to try and make ends meet here.
With at least 4 new home grooming business opening up in the area, in the last year. We can't compete with their lower pricing, and our increasing costs as a store front. Did you know our rent goes up every year, even when we have a lease. When our lease is renewed each term, it jumps up significantly, with no rental cap. January is when our new term for lease needs to be renewed. Did you know that each curtiosy text, message reminder, report card or text communication through the booking system cost us money, for each text, on top of the monthy fee for our booking system. Each debit transaction costs us money. We upgraded our equipment this summer, to make sure all our furry clients are safe and comfortable. Many of these things we have in place to help make it convient for you, our valued client, have a price tag attached above our regular overhead of just shampoo, conditioner, water and electricity.
With that being said, we firstly would like to Thank you for your continued support, and apologize for the inconvenience of being closed more days this month. Affecting drop ins and availability in days to book appoinments. We are trying to navigate what the future of "A Rover Makeover" will be for us moving forward.
We could use your help in speading the word, that we are taking on new clients, and your positive experience with us. Weather it's through word of mouth, a recommendation on a Facebook post, a positive comment when you see one of our adds on Facebook. A Google Review, if you havnt done so already. I think you can do more than one, if you have. Having a look at our winter jackets, sweaters, booties, treats, chews before purchasing at a corporate store.
We hope to still be thriving in the New Year, and ask that you bear with us as we try and regroup.
