This is a very popular program with very limited spaces so don't delay book your spot today!

Our P*e Wees program is a fun introduction into riding lessons for ages 3-5 years old.
We greatly encourage parents with children under 4 yrs old to partake in our Paddock pals BEFORE enrolling in P*e Wees, as many children who have not been exposed frequently to ponies can be very nervous, intimidated or frightened around ponies for the first time, Paddock pals is a great introduction and hands on experience with ponies.

P*e wees sessions are approx. one hr in length

This is a great hands on learning and bonding experience for you and your "little" . Parents are required to participate if needed.

P*e Wees consists of four lessons(sessions) Each session is approx. one hr long and entails grooming, and basic western riding skills as well as some fun mounted games to help out "littles" retain what they learn.

P*e Wees will learn the five basics to western riding by the end of the program. Walk, whoa, left, right and back up. Everything in level one is taught at a walk in our indoor riding area.

Cost : $145 for four sessions paid in full at time of booking .

**Welcome to Paddock pals and Parents! **

Paddoock Pals is a program geared towards child ages 2-4 This program is a NON riding program. This is our version of parents and tots in a unique setting.

Paddock pals is designed to get your" lil's" away for the television and outside to enjoy some fresh air, build milestones and meet some great ponies.
"lil' pals" and parents get the opportunity and time bonding together while interacting with our ponies, through a fun and unique hands on experience. Paddock Pals spend time petting, grooming, and interacting with our amazing ponies.

Pals meet once a week for 40 mins, which seems to work great for our little pals !

Paddock Pals is a great stepping stone and offers an easier transition for your "lil pal" in preparation to enter our "P*e Wees" riding program which starts as young as three yrs old.

We feel this introduction program helps greatly improve confidence, overcoming nervousness and fear when it comes time to ride. Through this program your lil will be much more relaxed, confident and capable to handle riding for the first time.

These types of parent involved programs have been proven to greatly improve the 5 key areas of development in this age range.
* Gross motor skills, fine motor skills, sp*ech and language, cognitive and intellectual and social and emotional growth.

*Classes take place indoors as there is no riding component.
* Please dress accordingly for weather. All participants/guests must wear closed toed shoes or boots at ALL times while on the farm.
* Parents are required to participate

There program consists of 6 classes.

Classes are Sundays at 1230pm

The cost is $125

Dates are as follows :

We again this yr attended the Shedden fair with he ponies and had a great time, we were extremely busy but loved it !
We were excited to see alot of the vendors and such we've become friends with over the yrs attend as well.

The ponies were great, and we were so excited the mystery machine showed up at the car show , my childhood fave !

We couldn't help but get pictures with it !

As well as the alpaca from the amazing petting zoo, Triple C sanctuary and petting zoo from Hamilton that showed up. All the animals they brought were so well cared for, well behaved and just super friendly ! As was the owner Pascal.
Loved hanging out with them.

Was a very long and hot weekend but we had a blast !

We do the Shedden fair every yr and we really enjoy it ! Great family fun and friendly atmosphere!

‼️ATTENTION CAMP FAMILIES ‼️

tomorrow the humidex is to reach over 40 degrees! We will not be able to do anything with regards to handling or riding the
horses or ponies in this heat . These temps are extremely dangerous to animals and humans especially as we are outdoors most of the day!

We will be canceling camp tomorrow and offering a (make up date ) during another camp for everyone's safety.

Please contact me asap to discuss.

Thank you

SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITY:

Behind The Bit would love for some of our rescues to have sponsors.

Sponsors are individuals, families or businesses who through a regualr mthly donation can greatly help with the daily expenses we as a rescue take on.

Our sponsor families are always invited to come pay a visit to their sponsored pony and spend some time getting to know them. Who wouldn't want to love up a pony !

Horses and ponies are extremely and amazingly therapeutic.

This is perfect for those who are unable to afford owning a horse or pony of their own but love being around them and of course making a difference by helping to cover some of the costs for their ongoing care - such as his Hay, Supplements and mineral/salt blocks, Vaccinations/ Teeth Floating, Chiropractor, massage therapy, Farrier, Deworming, grooming supplies, and everything in between.

Come make a difference in a horse or ponies life and let them make one in yours !

Inquire about sponsoring today !

Thank you
