By now, we’d say a lot of pet-owners are aware of the benefits of goat’s milk. In summary it provides moisture in the diet, fatty acids, B-vitamins, Vitamin A and plenty of probiotics to support a healthy immune system and digestive system.
But we thought this was pretty cool too. Did you know it’s also a significant source of bioavailable GABA? GABA is an inhibitory neurotransmitter in the brain used to stop excitatory transmitters from over-firing, making it helpful for calming anxiety. It also plays a role in regulating blood sugar.
These articles pertain to either humans or mice, but are interesting to read either way, and surely could be extrapolated to be useful in our canine companions!
