“The Ghost Buck” This is the name Sam gave to the sun-faded whitetail his dad shot in 1977 and was eventually mounted in 1978. Memories he still cherishes from a hunt with his father enough to this day and have this deer recreated and placed in his home. Happy to help and honoured to get to do this piece.

Keep an eye on this guy on this season of along with all the other hunters.

After a busy few days last week it’s nice to be back in the shop.

Had the opportunity to learn a ton of new techniques and theory from a first class instructor and world champion taxidermist

Had a great week and met a bunch of solid guys that were also looking to improve and step up their game. Thanks to for hosting and the tasty lunches each day!

Highly recommend any taxidermist attend Wes’ classes or seminars. As with any craft/skill it’s critical to stay polished and up to date with new products and techniques. Blown away with all the little things that can be done differently but make a huge difference in the final product. Thanks again

Velvet, habitat and rocks oh my! 😱

Another addition to our inventory in the next few weeks!

Woodlands scenics has been working on creating a dedicated line for the taxidermy industry and we are now officially a distributor for their products in Canada 🇨🇦

A couple product highlights…

Getting ready to wrap this velvet buck in a nice early season cape around a heavily modified Buckeye manikin.

Velvalok by use to ensure this velvet stays soft and beautiful for years to come.

Medium replacement whitetail nose by saves time and can’t beat the finished look.

Earliners and butts by these are the 100M liners and “ear back” butts.

First bear for this hunter from last year. Also the first mount I got around to doing in the new shop. Little bit of hide and hair dye and brought this guy back to life.

Getting a little more settled into the new shop!!

Rug table set up is nearly complete with a 10’x 12’ working surface. It’s been 8 months of getting settled and organized, bringing in new products & vendors while trying to keep up with inventory demands……None of that will stop but it’s time to start doing taxidermy again. 🎉🎉🎉 thanks to all that are patient with the transition while we continue to settle and grow to better serve with both the supply and taxidermy services.
