Danny and Chantalle are sad to share with our BeauKees Keeshonden followers the news of Remus's passing. Remus is out of Ch Beaukees Holly Berry & Ch Alpine Poppy from Lavendermist Meadow. Holly is turning 12 this month & doing well. Remus achieved his Canadian Championship in just a few weekends in the ring as a Junior Puppy, finished his Grand Championship at the Cold Lake Show, placing 4th in Group in a top Non-Sporting lineup and was awarded an Award of Merit as well as Best Canadian Bred in Specialty at the KCBC Specialty Show in Chilliwack. Remus was a fun, loving, goofy boy who brought joy to everyone he met. Danny and I are proud of all he has accomplished in his home life, show ring & the whelping box. Remus sired two beautiful litters and his granddaughter Cinder recently finished her Ch.

Some corrections regarding our latest BeauKees bred Litter (Kona x Sheamus), we had decided to hold off on announcing while we were still dealing with the loss of Remus. Kona is co-owned by Chantalle Carroll, Danny Gallant, Lyndon Mitchell and Cathy Cinnamon. We understand the excitement of Kona's babies' arrival but we're taking the time we require to mourn. Kona was bred by Sheamus 'Ch Beaukees Shamrocks and Shenanigans' who at just 20 months old, made the cut at the Canadian National Specialty. He is co-owned with Trent Napier & Amber Sorgen. A huge thank you to them, they have been wonderful supporters of our show dogs & breeding program. They were instrumental in this Beaukees breeding happening, and always accommodated whatever we needed to be successful with our breeding timing! We will resume our usual activity soon and send an update out to those of you already on the waiting list for this litter soon. For now, please join us in honoring and cherishing the memories of our Reem!

According to the list of people who have contacted me, we have enough interest to complete a reprint of the Prison to Paradise book.
The book is 11x11, hardcover (casebound), and has 120 pages. It includes all of the Keeshonden we rescued from Marjorie's Kennel in Harpursville, NY. The cost of the book is $101, which covers all of the costs of printing, shipping, supplies, and mailing. It's a "non-profit" item.
You MUST contact me via email at [email protected] to arrange for payment and mailing information. Firm deadline for receiving payment is 11/8/2023. If I haven't received all payments by then, I will refund and cancel the reprint.
Thank you for supporting the 101 rescue for these many years. I believe you will appreciate this historical account. I am certain you will love the beautiful stories and pictures of the 118 Keeshonden included in Prison to Paradise.

Just home from the Grande Prairie show where Cinder (Beaukees Eyes on Fire) won Best Baby Puppy in the Non-Sporting Group on Saturday! Congratulations Danny, Chantalle & Darren 🔥 She had a great time showing off her show stack & focus but she's also very happy to be home! ❤️
