📣 Due to the Canada Post strike and the general increase in shipping volume due to the holidays, we are experiencing some shipping delays on special order compounded medications. To account for this, we kindly ask for at least 5 business days notice for any special order medications for your pets to ensure we can have it arrive on time, before you run out. The deadline for special order medications, to guarantee arrival before Christmas, will be Tuesday, December 17th at 5:00pm. 🐾

✨ We had another fantastic turnout for our November Nail Trim Fundraiser! Thanks to all of our clients who brought their pets in last month for a nail trim service, the clinics were able to raise a combined total of $3663 to donate to the Spruce Grove Kinette and Stony Plain Kinsmen Christmas Hamper programs. We love being able to participate every year in helping out such a wonderful community program and it's all made possible by our dedicated clients! ✨

📣 We are looking for canine blood donors for our upcoming clinic at Tri-Municipal Vet Clinic on Thursday, October 17th! 🩸
🐶 K9 Donor Eligibility:
✅ Healthy and 1-8 years old
✅ Weighs at least 25 kg (55 lbs)
✅ Up to date on annual exam and vaccines
✅ Even-tempered and comfortable in the vet clinic (we ensure donations are fun and stress-free!)

USA Travel Update!

On July 22, the CDC revised requirements for travel into the USA with canine companions.

The following requirements apply to dogs that have been in Canada (or a rabies-free/low risk country) for at least 6 months prior to travel.

✔️ The dog owner (or whoever is accompanying the dog) must complete the new online CDC Dog Import Form for each dog. The form is valid for up to 6 months, as long as the dog does not visit any high-risk countries. There is no fee or waiting period associated with completing this form (free). A separate form must be completed for each dog.
✔️ The dog must appear healthy upon arrival
✔️ The dog must be at least 6 months old at time of entry to the US
✔️ The dog must have a microchip that can be detected with a universal scanner to identify them.

Notably, there is no longer any requirement for proof of rabies vaccination for dogs travelling from low-risk countries, but remember that proof of current rabies vaccination is still required for dogs returning to Canada from the US.

We encourage all clients to review the CDC website for updates/changes prior to making any travel plans with your dog. Safe travels!
