Finn is a fluffy, long haired, Applehead Chihuahua that I turn into a smooth coat for his Pa.

Another shout out to a local business!!

I cannot stop telling all my chronic pain people about this balm!

Nothing touches my chronic pain (Fibromyalgia, Tendinitis, Costochronditis, Arthritis, Restless Legs, Back Pain, etc.) like this rub - not even prescription creams/meds (they do absolutely nothing so I don’t even bother with the dr anymore).

While this isn’t a magical cure for anything - it has the best soothing feeling and allows for some better sleeps etc. I feel like it has kicked some flare ups to the curb as well. Really does take away some of the pain.

Amazing for gym workout soreness too.

All I can say is - run don’t walk to this store (main street Stony Plain) for this stuff!!!!!

Hi There Everyone!

My adorable, and very sweet clients, Lucky and Suzie want to tell you about their big, human, brother!

He wrote and published a book - and he’s only 18!

He started writing this book at age 15, finished at age 17, published it end of May 2024 while preparing for diploma finals.

I don’t know about you but I think that’s extremely impressive.

Liam will be at a book signing this Saturday Oct 19th, 12pm-5pm at Indigo Kingsway Gaeden Mall.

His book is available on Amazon and at bookstores.

Get your copy (it gets great reviews) and go get it signed as I’m sure he’s the next Stephen King - you could have a collector item on your hands!!

This one is killing me … an elderly lady with no family here passed away and these people are desperately trying to rehome her cats.

As the rescues are absolutely full they are running out of ideas for them and sounds like the family won’t be taking them.

Please share - or if you know of anyone who would take these two boys on. Could be shop cats even.

I always love to promote any other business that is in line with helping our dogs live full, long, and healthy lives.

Check out this local business (located in Stony Plain) that focuses on body work for dogs.

Two of my little doggie clients see her regularly and nothing but rave reviews - Here are her comments:

Sonata is very knowledgeable and she is very thorough - extremely caring and detailed - she sends a great follow up - if I can do anything to ease my pup’s (note this client is a rescue doggie) anxiety I will - I have had several sessions now and my little dog surprises me by laying on a pillow after I go to pick her up after her session. I am not expecting great changes immediately (as it takes time to combat stored trauma and a life time of anxiety) but I do notice she is less anxious.

Here are some key points:
Canine Massage/bodywork is beneficial and safe on most dogs.
Can reduce Stress and Anxiety
It improve circulation and can help with lymphatic drainage
Can help senior dogs whose muscles have hyprotrophied
Can assist in improved Range Of Motion
Creates a positive human-canine interaction/relationship
Can help ease discomfort
Can help activate muscles
Exploratory massage can allow masseuse to find "sore areas" for your vet to look into
Can help improve conformation by addressing muscle tone on each lateral side
Helps post surgery recovery (with vet clearance and 7 days after)
It can help monitor physical condition

It’s also interesting to note that walking dogs with a leash and collar (as apposed to a harness) or feeding dogs via bowls floor level (as opposed to raised bowls) can cause neck trauma. Also, did you know, that chronic leg and paw licking can sometimes be traced back to body pain (the dog is self soothing)!

Be aware - This is happening a load.

And just happened to have a conversation with a vet about it this afternoon. They are seeing more and more ma*****na intoxication of dogs from eating pot butts that someone has just tossed on the ground.

For whatever reason dogs love to eat ma*****na.

People just tossing their butts (be it ci******es or pot) is both bad.

Cigarette butts take a very long time to decompose.

Ma*****na butts kill.

This is Ontario …. Who wouldn’t want this sweet girl?!

UPDATE: happy to say that applications are now CLOSED due to Jolie now having many amazing choices. Thank you everyone for making this happen. Teamwork is awesome!

My biggest huh? In adoptable dogs so far.

Jolie.

Not a single application for the sweetest girl.

So it raises a question for me.

What makes one dog sooooo popular and another dog have no interest at all?

It isn't age (because many dogs get adopted at 12 years old from here).

It isn't the mild heart murmur because many senior dogs have them and have people lined up to adopt.

She's been spayed and had a dental too.

She's great with children, cats and dogs. She's house trained, sleeps through the night in her dog bed, and loves little walks. She's low key, super lovely and an excellent house guest.

And she loves snuggles and belly rubs too.

Is it having only one eye? Because she certainly doesn't care about that. It doesn't affect her at all.

I just see this most perfectly imperfect adorable face staring back at me.
