I know - he looks worried but he’s okay I promise.

Poor guy is mortified the whole groom and I do my best to console him - but he’s full of happy wiggles and grins after the groom for me ❤️

I try my best to make them as comfortable as possible for grooming. Grooming is hard on dogs as you’re in every nook and cranny. I play relaxing spa music, groom them on bath mats, spray lavender, coo in their ear and tell them how lovely and good they are. I often get my husband to help and hold them (he’s very good as massaging them while I groom). But at the end of the day it still can stress them out. So just lots of love and congratulations at the end sometimes makes it all a bit better.

I groomed this gorgeous little girl today and remembered I still have her first puppy groom yet unposted!! …. So here it is - her name is Melei which is a Hawaiian name for “Heavenly Flower” or “Song Child”. I don’t know about you but I could use a little Hawaiian influence today as it was -32 when I first woke up this morning 🌺
