🌞Never leave your pet alone in a parked care, even with the windows cracked. Cars can quickly become ovens, posing a severe risk of heatstroke.
🌞Keep your pets hydrated! Provide fresh water and shade at all times to help them beat the heat. Avoid walking your pets during the hottest parts of the day. Opt for early morning or evening walks when temperatures are cooler.
🌞Protect their paws from scorching surfaces like asphalt of sand. Walk them on grassy areas or invest in booties to shield their sensitive paw pads. Be cautious with outdoor activities. Dogs may overheat or suffer from sunburn, so provide them with sun protection and limit their exposure.
🌞Ensure your pets are up to date on flea and tick prevention. These pesky critters thrive in warm weather and can transmit diseases. Keep toxic chemicals and insecticides out of reach. Certain plants, fertilizers, and insect repellants can be harmful or fatal to pets if ingested.
