Holly Jacks is a BC native who is now based in Erin, Ontario and Ocala, Florida. She has worked with many top international riders, including Buck Davidson, Tom Dvorak, Hyde Moffat and Margie Gayford competing and training horses before starting her own riding and training business in 2006. Since that time, Holly has represented her country at the FEI World Championships from September 14 – 25, 2022 in Pratoni-Roma, Italy!

Holly has been previously long-listed for the 2015 Pan Am games in Toronto, Canada and short-listed for the 2016 Olympic games in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil with More Inspiration - and she was named as an alternate for the Pan American games in Lima Peru aboard her young horse Candy King. Holly completed the Land Rover Kentucky 3 Day Event 5* in 2017 and 2018, and finished 12th in the 5* in Pau, France. Holly has produced both horses, which were declared for the Tokyo Olympics as well.
Holly also just recently won the Royal Winter Fair indoor eventing class on Josephine a mare who was broke and trained up the levels with Holly .

With all of her accomplishments, Holly still takes great pride in bringing young riders up through the levels. Holly has successfully coached children in pony jumpers at the Royal Winter Fair in Toronto, as well as had two junior riders on the 2017 NAYRC bronze winning team at Rebecca Farm.

Holly’s working student program has given many riders the skills they need to ride at the top levels of competition while gaining skills in equine related business practices. Many of Holly’s working students are now successfully running their own riding and training businesses across the country.

Holly’s specialty is retraining racehorses for competitive riding careers when their racing days are over. Holly has many years of experience working with thoroughbreds - galloping at the race track, training sale horses, and developing competitive horses up through the FEI levels. She acquired More Inspiration as a 4-year-old off the track TB and produced him through the 5* level, with much success on the international stage.

Her longtime partner More Inspiration (aka ‘Morris)’ was retired in 2020. Candy King, owned by the Candy King Eventing Limited Partnership (Link to your PDF), was acquired by Holly as a 6 year old and produced up the the 5* level. Holly and Candy King have been named to the 2022 Canadian Team for the World Championships in Italy, with their eyes firmly set on the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris!
