🌸 Shower heads installed in each truck with fresh towels to ensure your dog comes home as clean as possible on those really dirty days

As Fir and Bark continues to grow thanks to the support of this amazing community we are on the hunt for another member to join our team leading K9 wilderness adventures through out the mountains of Squamish. We are looking for a K9 handler who loves dogs, the outdoors(rain, snow or shine!) and hiking. The ideal person for this job would have some sort of previous experience working with animals(especially dogs!). This new handler needs to be keen on learning about dog behaviours, can pay attention to detail and has great customer service skills

The majority of this job is spent in the forest exploring the bush with groups of dogs so with that said you must be comfortable on your own in the woods. There will be wildlife safety education provided during the training process

Hiking/walking groups of dogs

Must be comfortable driving a tacoma pick up truck with full license

Picking up dogs and transporting them safely to and from adventures

Future to grow with the business

We are open Monday - Friday

All gear including first aid kits, crates, treats, leashes etc will be supplied by Fir + Bark in the work trucks

You will need to complete a canine behaviour course/First aid course through Fir + Bark (unless you have this education already)

Lots of training will be given!

Must be healthy and fit

PS - dogs do not travel this way. They have seat belts or in a crate. We also have windows up or on a small crack for safety reasons 😊

The majority of this job is spent in the forest exploring on local trails with 1-3 dogs so with that said you must be comfortable on your own in the woods. There will be wildlife safety education provided during the training process.

Hiking/walking private walks and buddy walks (1 - 4 dogs)

Must have your own vehicle with compensation given

Picking up dogs and transporting them safely to and from adventures

Future to grow with the business and learn how to be a pack hiker (6-8 dogs in the bush)

We are open Monday - Friday. This is part time hours to start!

All gear including first aid kits, crates, treats, leashes etc will be supplied by Fir + Bark
