Training Works is very pleased to announce that we, in partnership with Anaconda Mining, Agnico Eagle Mines Ltd. and the Mining Industry Human Resources Council have been chosen to receive an investment from the Future Skills Centre - Centre des Compétences Futures to develop, test and deploy a micro-learning program for the mining industry. This project will test the outcomes of daily mobile micro-learning based on each employee’s need, with a focus on health and safety and communications. All the training in this program will have a diversity lens applied to ensure appropriateness for target audiences.

We are very excited to be joining a Community of Practice that consists of 29 additional innovative pilot projects from across the country. The Future Skills Centre’s mandate for this initiative is to identify, assess and share innovative approaches to training and upskilling workers to build resilience and adaptability. This investment comes at a time when disruption is occurring throughout the world and where agile, adaptive and innovative skills development solutions are needed.
