The VP team knows how to bake!

We participated in a Bake for the Animals day recently, raising $1,302.75 from team member donations. VP matched the donation bring the total to $2,605.50 raised for the Stratford Perth Humane Society. 🐾🧁

This past week, on Thursday, October 12th, our VP Team members participated in an on-site bake sale for the Farley Foundation!

Our team baked and donated goodies to be purchased by their colleagues, earning a total $1,322.45! VP has matched employee donations dollar for dollar, increasing our total donation to the Farley Foundation to $2,644.90!

We would like to give a huge shoutout to our incredible team for preparing so many delicious treats to raise money for Stratford Perth Humane Society! Together we were able to raise $1,569 dollars, which matched to bring the total to $3,139! ✨

VP team members were able to raise $712 in cash donations and collected nearly 300 non-perishable items for the local Salvation Army. This was all part of our "Giving Tuesday"!

Veterinary Purchasing (VP) is pleased to continue our annual Student Scholarship awards. Students employed at VP who are attending or planning to attend post secondary educational institutions were encouraged to apply for one of two $1000 cash scholarships. Applicants were assessed based on their length of service, work ethic, grades, career aspirations and goals. There were many excellent submissions, and VP could not be prouder of the caliber of students we have working for the company. All applicants were worthy candidates and selecting just 2 winners was not easy. The winners of the 2022 Veterinary Purchasing Student Scholarship are:

Carter Chessell

Carter will begin the Paramedic program at Conestoga in September. He has been an employee at VP since March 2020 and is involved in volunteer firefighting and extra curricular activities such as basketball.

Hayden MacDonald

Hayden is enrolled in the Business-Finance program at Fanshawe starting in September. She joined VP in July 2019 and has participated on and coached baseball teams since she was 11.

We wish the best of luck to all our students as they return to school and thank them for their assistance at VP over the summer break!

Meet Brady! 👋

Brady is one of our Purchasing Agents here at VP. He came to us as a high school student in 2011 and continued to work his summers here as he pursued his university education. Brady started in the Purchasing Department in May of 2020 and has been a valued member of the team ever since!

Outside of work, Brady recently became a new dad in August of 2021, and is enjoying every minute with his sweet baby boy, Leo!

Meet Terri! 👋

Terri started with VP in 1985 and has worked in various roles within the company, including: order processing and item stocking in our warehouse, as part of our Order Desk, Customer Service and I.T. teams, as a Returns Supervisor, and last but not least, as a valuable member of our Purchasing Department for the last 20 years! Terri has also been a Certified Worker Representative on the JOHSC (Joint Health and Safety Committee) for over 20 years.
In her personal life, Terri is kept busy with her 4 grandchildren, and is also the former National President of Kin Canada- an all Canadian Service Organization.

Meet Barb!

Barb is one of our Order Desk Clerk’s. If you’ve called into VP in the last 20 years, you’ve likely spoken to Barb! She just celebrated her 20-year anniversary on October 23rd!! Quite an accomplishment and we are lucky to have her.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her four grandchildren. 😊
