As the barn doors start to close in the cool weather, air quality matters more than ever. That’s exactly why we use Straw Boss dust-extracted bedding. Clean, super absorbent, and easy on the lungs.

It keeps stalls drier, makes mucking quicker, and horses breathing easier.
We stock both chopped straw and bedding pellets here at Signature. Message us to order for your own barn!

Mercedes is the kind of youngster you look forward to working with every day. kind, easy, and naturally athletic. She’s already showing lovely movement, balance, and a willing attitude that makes her a pleasure to bring along.

Currently standing around 15.1h , Mercedes has begun arena groundwork, cross-ties, picks up her feet, and shows all the right traits of a future show prospect. Her full siblings are proving themselves to be talented jumpers with excellent rideability, and she’s following right in their footsteps.

With show season being over, your show pads can finally take some well deserved time off! Taking time to properly clean and store your Ogilvy pads now means they’ll stay fresh, soft, and ready to perform when spring rolls back around.

Before putting them away:
1️⃣ Give pads a full wash or gentle hand clean to remove sweat, hair, and dust buildup.
2️⃣ Let them dry completely! moisture trapped in storage can cause mildew or stiffness.
3️⃣ Store flat or draped over a rack, never folded, to protect the spine and shape of the pad.

High quality pads deserve high quality care, and like everything else in the barn, a little attention now saves wear later.

Looking to refresh your tack room staples for this winter? Check out the Ogilvy Equestrian store and use code CANDICERAINEY10 at checkout to save on your next order.

It’s hard to believe how far Bentley has come. From a leggy foal in our pastures to a confident young stallion stepping into the Silver Series ring, he’s been the perfect example of what time, patience, and good development can do.

As a homebred by Scion of Aries out of Clear Victory, Bentley has always shown presence, but what makes him special is his mind. He’s thoughtful and willing proving that good stallions start with good foundations and more importantly, good parents!

We’re in no rush with him. Bentley will continue his training and competition career before standing stud in the future. For now, it’s about building strength, experience, and confidence the right way. The goal isn’t how fast they get there, it’s how well they grow along the way, and Bentley is a testament of that!

It’s easy to think that progress only happens in the ring. But truthfully, the off-season is where foundations strengthen. Where horses rest, recover, and grow.

Quiet months let their bodies heal and their minds reset. Just like riders, horses need time to process what they’ve learned.

Giving space to rest isn’t taking a step back, it’s a part of investing in a stronger season ahead!

There are horses who teach you how to ride, and then there are horses who teach you how to love riding again. Athena is that kind of mare.

This 16.2h, 2003 Thoroughbred has been a steady heartbeat of our barn for a while now. The one who's quietly given riders confidence and makes every ride feel easy. She’s taught countless beginners their first canter, and still has the scope and heart to pop around small fences or step into a schooling ring with grace.

Before joining us, Athena evented and competed in higher-level jumpers, and she still carries that same work ethic and kindness every time you swing a leg over. Now, she’s ready to enjoy a slower pace with her next person. She's sound with maintenance, happiest doing light flatwork, small fences, and leisurely trail rides.

She’s safe, forgiving, and endlessly kind, the kind of mare everyone dreams of having around.

There’s something grounding about working horses in the rain. The sound of drops hitting the arena roof or the rhythm of hoofbeats in the mud. Everything slows down, quiets, and reminds us what horsemanship is really about.

Rain has a way of washing away the rush. Training sessions become less about perfection and more about connection; listening to your horse, feeling their rhythm, and trusting each other despite the distractions. Some of the best breakthroughs can happen on those cold, drizzly days when we stop chasing “progress” and just let the work breathe.

Good horsemanship isn’t about waiting for perfect weather. It’s about showing up, being adaptable, and finding value in the moments that test your patience. Sometimes, a rainy day is exactly what both horse and rider need to soften, to focus, and to grow.
