Only a week and a half after welcoming her baby girl into the world, Coach Candice is already back at the ring with her show team. Not because she had to be. But because that’s what trainers do.

This moment is just one snapshot of something every equestrian has experienced in their own way; the quiet, tireless dedication of a trainer. They give more than instruction. It's stability, encouragement, and perspective. They carry the weight when their riders are nervous, stay calm when things don’t go to plan, and they cheer the loudest when the work pays off.

In a sport that demands so much, it’s easy to forget the people who quietly hold it all together. Behind every good round is a trainer who believed, prepared, and showed up for their riders. No matter what’s going on in life.

As the nights cool down, horses begin using more energy simply to stay warm. 🍂
This seasonal shift is subtle, but it’s when weight loss and stress can quietly creep in if we’re not proactive. Adjusting feed to support extra calories, checking body condition often, and having blankets clean and ready makes all the difference in keeping them healthy through fall and into the winter months.

The more smoothly we manage their transition into cooler weather, the better they maintain condition, immunity, and focus under saddle. Fall prep isn’t just about comfort, it’s about setting them up to handle winter strong, even if that means they gain a few extra pounds!
