NOTE to potential pup parents, we made the difficult decision to no longer be facilitate in-person visits at our kennel.
Here are a couple of the reasons:

1. Biosecurity- Disease can be carried in on shoes and on clothing to vulnerable pups. We recently had a communicable illness almost claim the lives of one of our litters, we believe it was contracted by allowing people into our home. We work very hard to control our pups environment to give them the best protection possible against disease & parasites.

2. Monetary Security- we live here and there is a vulnerability to our security and the security of our dogs by trusting the public in our home. While we've never had anyone break in and steal one of our dogs, we do want to keep it this way.
We do know of breeders not far from us who have allowed families to view puppies only to have them break in later and steal dogs. While we know the majority are good honest people, it's just not a gamble we feel comfortable taking.

With all this said we DO want to be transparent about how our pups are raised and show families our kennel facility, we believe this is best achieved through video chats. We are more than happy to facilitate video chats with potential families wanting to see our setup and dogs before signing on, we understand the need to make sure we are real and legit and not scammers.
Once you've signed on with us and selected your puppy, we are happy to facilitate chats (at your request) to see your pups at any point in the process.

While we know this isn't ideal, we believe it's the best solution for us and our families. We understand that for some people this may be a deal breaker and that's totally fine, we know our kennel isn't for everyone. But to the families that are willing to take us on despite this, THANK-YOU!!!
We are just blessed by the families that have taken on our pups, your support means the world to us and we couldn't do what we do without it.

8 weeks old for Scarlets crew! They are such a mix of characters for this bunch.
Honey (Clementine) is brave and boisterous. Quirky and expressive... A little firecracker!
Ti (Clover) is social, affectionate and silly, he's not one to start things but is sure happy to join in. An observer and seeks to please.
Scout (Cedar) is a leader and a charmer. Don't let his serious look fool you, he's both sweet and mischievous all in one little package.
Cash (cricket) is what I'd call shy and analytical guy... He observes for a while before joining in. He is patient and super calm and obedient, a bit anxious but warms up quickly to anything after a little reassurance.
Can't believe it's only a couple more weeks before the pups join their families! Time has just flown by!

Scarlets litter is doing fantastic, they are 7 weeks old now. They have been really enjoying the space of their new play area and have explored every inch of it. It's so neat to see traits of their parents emerge in their personalities, they are a chill bunch that are loving and take on every new experience with ease.
They are doing great eating pretty much just kibble alone and are ready for their first vet checks next week.

Five weeks old for this litter! All the pups are doing great, eating more solids and less from mom. They are learning to scramble across any surface, play with toys and potty on the pad. They are all so different from each other and it's neat to see their individuality emerge.

Just like that they are 4 weeks old! It's so neat to see all their personalities beginning to shine through, they are an adaptive bunch and are taking to playtime and pottying on a pad with ease.
I'm so excited to see them to continue to develop!

Sorry for the late update! 3 weeks old now and pups are doing great and becoming more aware of their surroundings, they are starting to explore their pen and be more steady on their feet.
As they have grown their colours have been changing and I noticed they are all chocolate sable except for Cricket who is a chocolate parti.
Cedar is a spitting image of his dad and is so small and stinking adorable. It's neat to see them all differing from each other more and more and I'm super excited to see their personalities emerge in the coming weeks.

One week old for litter C! Man they are quite the cute bunch! Just so in love with them all!
They are starting to get some stable growth and even with looking so similar they are sure differentiating themselves from each other.
Really looking forward to eyes opening, very curious if they will be expressive like their mom Scarlet. She has a very expressive face that shows her every emotion, it's something we adore about her!

Pups are 8 weeks old now, they are doing so great! They had their vet appointment last week and are all in perfect health. They had another groom and sanitary trim today and decided it was a good time to get some shots.
They are on just kibble right now and are beginning to follow the adults to potty outdoors.
Such a content and smart bunch, they are such a pleasure to raise!

6 Weeks! These guys just get cuter and cuter! They are beginning to differ more from eachother as we begin to see their personalities shine!
We are starting to train the ears up and they are well on their way building those muscles. They have now been moved to their big pen and are enjoying all the extra space to play.

We are so excited, today we got pregnancy confirmation for scarlet! Ultrasound showed for sure 4 pups! Two of the pups were in a single sack, so twins! They are set to arrive for early July, can't wait!

We are now accepting applications for new guardians families to join our team.

What does it mean to be a guardian?
Guardianship is a partnership with us, you get a puppy to love and raise like your own while also facilitating breeding of that dog through our kennel.

Potential Guardians must live in the south-eastern Manitoba region, with commitment to stay in this region for 5 years. We like guardians that are communicative and willing to work with us in the best interest of the dog. Families need to be able to financially supply everything required to raise a puppy. A home with enough room to provide adequate exercise with means to fence or restrain pup for reasons of safety.

5 Weeks old today! These guys just get better and better. They are starting to get really good at eating solids and are becoming more agile on their feet and exploratory. They are such a consistent litter, in quality and temperament.

But in all seriousness, we are in unpacking mode. Moving sucks... But it should be all done soon. Will hopefully be back to regular scheduled posts fairly soon 🤞🏻

4 weeks old for Maples litter! They are doing great with the move, we've had a couple days now in the new house and in a new larger pen. They adapted to the new space fairly quickly and are catching onto peeing on a pad.
We are heading into the learning through play season and hope to have a lot more regular updates in the coming weeks. Thanks for your patience with us in this time of transition!

3 weeks today! Can't get much cuter than these pups. They are spending more time awake now and are getting used to using their feet exploring, they are a very curious bunch and so far have showed zero fear of the world around them.

My apologies for the late update! We are just starting our move to the new house so it's a busy time. The next couple weeks will be challenging for updates but we will do our best to update as we can.
Maples pups are two weeks old now and are doing great, eating, sleeping & growing mostly. Eyes are all open now and they are becoming more aware of the world around them. Couldn't be happier with this litter, they are certainly matching the quality of their parents.

A few things to Note: 1. This should be done on freshly shaved ears, strips won't stick to long hair. 2. As the hair grows the glue will be attached to the hair and can be cut out to remove.

Thanks to everyone for the words of encouragement and prayers! After a long day yesterday pups are beginning to improve starting to eat from mom again and the antibiotics are doing their job! We aren't out of the woods yet, but we are confident the pups will make it! Mama Maple is beginning to eat again and feel better which we are really thankful for. We'll keep you posted!

This is not the update at all that I wanted to write but I have very sad news. Marlie went into labour last night she seemed to do well at first but her contractions started to become weak and I had to fight to get every pup out. After the first two were born sleeping and unable to be revived, we brought her to nearest available vet for c-section and they were however unable to save the remaining pup. She had three beautiful boys all born sleeping. We are absolutely devastated by yet another loss for our kennel so we will not have pups to offer anyone at this time 😔 2023 has been a rough year in many ways for us. I think this video of Marlie with her sweet daughter is quite fitting, I'm just so thankful Marlie is doing well despite this stressful birth. We want to thank all our wonderful families and friends for their love and support, we are so blessed by all of you! Thanks for all your patience and your support as we grieve another loss.
