I'm not one to share a lot about my personal life on here, it's generally all dogs. But recently it feels like the rug has been kicked up from under my feet.
My rock, my foundation, my husband was just diagnosed with Leukemia (AML).

He's the reason I can do everything I do with my dogs, he takes care of so many things in our lives so I can focus on the things I love. He's my cheerleader and has helped me build my kennel into everything it currently is. Without him Silver Ridge Yorkies would not exist.

I really hesitated to share what has been going on as I'm not one to make excuses, but I felt it pertinent for my families to know that if I'm more silent, slower to respond and update that will be why.

We really appreciate your patience with us, our dogs are still getting the best care and are honestly a great distraction from the hardship. I do know I will be spread more thin this winter and in the coming months, so thanks in advance if updates aren't as thorough as I usually do. I want to match my usual energy and I will try to keep that going.

Unfortunately in light of this information we chose to skip breeding Kiwi & Scarlet so we aren't adding more of an unnecessary load with the pups that are already here (or will be soon). We will hopefully continue breeding again next rounds of heats closer to summer/fall.

In the meantime enjoy the pups that are here, I'll do my best to post about them as often as I can. Maple is due this coming weekend so stay tuned for the announcement of her pups.

New beginnings for new year! Pipers litter has arrived! We waited a couple days to announce them as they were born extra tiny and mom needed to get the hang of feeding and caring for such tiny pups. She had 3 girls 1 boy!
Despite how tiny they are Mom & pups are doing great, we are excited to see them grow and develop.
