Thank you to everyone who has messaged, emailed, called and commented following our latest update on the future of Kismet Creek Farm. We are a small, but mighty team - and are working to get back to you as soon as possible.

For those who are inquiring on adopting our animals, once we know more about a tentative sale date, we will put a call out for forever homes for our farm-ily members. As always if you want to visit, even on these cold days, just message us, the animals could sure use the cuddles.

Today is - a day of global generosity, kindness and support to our communities.

Last year on GivingTuesday, we launched our GofundMe to try and save Kismet Creek Farm. Thanks to the support from our community, visitors, volunteers, we were able to make it through 2024 - but we aren’t completely out of the woods yet.

Our recent launches of the Kismet Kids Learning Centre, our Pasture Partners Program and the various event bookings have helped us but we still need your help.

It may be a week away, but Jenny is all ready for Halloween and wants you to come celebrate with her this weekend 🎃! Open Friday, Saturday & Sunday. Kids in costume get in for FREE! 👻

It’s also that time of year where people offer up their donations of pumpkins. Pumpkin is a great de-wormer and yummy treat for all our farmily members. We kindly ask that any donated pumpkins are free from wax, paint and excessive mould.

One of our wonderful volunteers, Shannon, wanted to remind you that we are open Saturday and Sunday from 12-5pm. We would love to see as many of you as we can this weekend enjoying the beautiful weather and of course our farm-ily. 🤍

The future of Kismet. We are sad to announce that Kismet Creek Farm is being sold. This sanctuary started as a dream and has been Owner Karl’s whole life for the last 5 years - allowing him to fulfill his passion for growing community and creating a space for children to explore, build empathy through interactions with animals and develop strong immune systems with outdoor play. But times are tough and there isn’t enough money coming in to sustain the dream anymore. So he has made the difficult decision to sell the farm. All our farm-ily members will be rehoused to caring owners where they will happily live out the rest of their days. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the many groups who have visited the farm over the years and all our sponsors for believing in our mission. We will be pushing for a July 1st possession date - so please share and like this post so we can get people out to the farm to make more memories before we close the gates forever.We ask that you please also share this post with anyone you think would like to buy the farm to carry on our dream. We have faith that it will land in the right hands, because…Kismet.

Nikki wanted to remind you that her and the rest of the farm-ily would be overjoyed if you would treat them to your pumpkins. 🧡Instead of having them end up in the landfill, think of us this year when you go to get rid your pumpkins. 🧡🎃We cannot accept any pumpkins that are: - drawn or painted on - bleached - have glitter or glue still stuck to them - wax residue from candles You can leave them by the sign or visit us this weekend with your pumpkins. 🎃If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.

We recently had our wonderful farrier out to care for our equine members. 🫏🐴If you didn’t already know a farrier is someone who is specialized in trimming the hooves of equine. This is a crucial part of caring for them as you can tell a lot about their health from their hooves. We currently have 5 donkeys (Lexi, Leroy, Peggy, Pete and Jenny) and 2 horses (Jetta and Buddy) who are cared for by our farrier. If you would like to help us care for our equine farm-ily members you can by donating to [email protected] Come visit our equine and the rest of farm-ily members this weekend. We are a family-run farm sanctuary, & offer visits with our residents to raise funds to further our rescue efforts and cover operating expenses. Many of our animals are friendly and love attention, but we ask people to never force an interaction that is unwanted. We pride ourselves on putting our animals’ physical, emotional and mental well-being first. Our goal is to promote compassion and respect for all species, and remove animals from the food system. We host special events year round, and are available for field trip bookings, birthday parties, family gatherings and more. Our gift shop features affordable local handmade goods and is open year round.
