We are feeling devastated. Our not so little “Kendol” didn’t make it despite his incredible strength and determination along with all of Aidan’s and my determination and hours of up most of the day and night feedings. He had a heart that wouldn’t quit and was trying to stand even when he couldn’t keep himself upright once we got him there! I think that is the hardest part, knowing he never gave up trying. The diahrea just took to much out of him. He got to nap outside in beautiful sunshine with his mum and he got lots of hugs and loving (and hand fed milk) from us….Sometimes all you can do is just not enough. RIP little warrior. Aidan went from calling him Ken to calling him Spirit. Very apt!
Out of Barbie and from 50 Shades my Stallion.
Been a long night and day and night…. Meet Mimi me from Barbie (splitting image of her). Kendal.
Well after a visit from the Vet and an I.V. Bolus to relax his tendons Kendal stood and shuffled about, having FIVE drinks out of mom over the space of an hour!!! Yay❤️❤️. Should be good for three hours now. If I could just sleep🤪🥹that would be really nice…. Let’s hope he continues to improve and strengthen those legs so he can untangle them and actually stand all the way up on his own tomorrow!! I should have taken a picture of his method of getting his back legs up with his hiney up in the air and his oh so long front legs still stuck under him😳. Maybe tomorrow, oh wait that is now today, sigh…
Fortunately my wonderful 19 year old grandson to the rescue. Cancelled his life in Lethbridge for however long this takes to get Kendoll, Kendal? on his feet and strong and helped make a lot happier with more stall meal delivery service.
He REALLY is not impressed, maybe if he had come out when his momma was ready three weeks ago…..
So this young c**t was born in the early hours on Sunday March 24,2024. He wasn’t real impressed! Standing wasn’t happening despite his determined efforts. With some help from Mr Still we got him up long enough to have a slurp of the oh so important Colostrum filled milk. I jimmied up a syringe to collect more milk as I was unable to pick him up and move his feet into position for him to stand by himself. (He’s kinda heavy and VERY gangly)After I wrapped his legs, so he would have more support, I milked mom a couple times and fed him successfully (after a couple of, what the heck is this big rubber thing from “Kendoll” (His Moms name is Barbie, she has 4 white stockings, flaxen mane and tail and a lovely stripe down her face, when she was born and prancing around showing off my daughter took one look and stated oh “Barbie”, so I threw my name choice out and Barbie it was). Now this little guy comes along with ALL the same chrome as his mommy so what else can we call him but Ken lol! He is a mini replica for sure!!!
This young pony will be ready to go soon. She is pony height but built for a lady too
So thankful for my daughters help while I'm recovering! She gets to learn how to train horses and I get to not pass out. Pretty good trade lol Bonus my horses all love her almost as much as me.....

My favourite video of Kran teaching Shadey to hand her the bucket because he keeps licking her all over like a popsicle hahaha
This is Registered American Saddlebred “STRYKER’S GLORIOUS DIVA”. A 14 year old broke brood mare that has absolutely the most typey gorgeous babies. I’ll see if I can find a couple of videos of them. Sadly she is also ready to relocate to a great home. Hopefully a good breeder because she really loves her babies. I think she would probably let them nurse for two years. Diva is VERY Showey, she always has her head up high as well as her tail up and legs high just travelling around the fields. It is all natural (I don’t ever cut or set on my horses). Her foals carry this wonderful natural ability. She was great to ride, even riding out with her babies she was always calm letting them romp ahead without panicking, which impressed me considering she wouldn’t let them out of her sight in the field! I guess she trusted me to be mom of the ride. I am the herd boss mare in the field lol.
“Sailing Gait” aka Serenity. First bath, she loves drinking from the hose and very politely was scratching my back as I washed her lol
Registered 5 year old American Saddlebred “Black Ice’s Shades of Gold” showing off his smarts when he isn’t busy making show ponies. It’s going to be hard to see him go for sure🙁
