L'amour de soi⚘️
When my daughter was little she’d go to be each night saying I love you mama, I love you dad, then she’d give herself a huge hug and tell her she loves herself. What a lesson these littles can teach!
Neurobiology is a powerful thing. And negative lself-talk, which is so hardwired into women, isn’t just draining and limiting —it can have a physical and mental health impact.
When on repeat, your brain interprets that inner critic as stress, activating your fight-or-flight response. This floods your body with cortisol, the stress hormone, designed to protect you in short bursts but packs a punch when chronically elevated.
Chronic cortisol release disrupts your sleep, digestion, hormones, and focus, leaving you stuck in survival mode. Over time, it can lead to burnout, inflammation, and even chronic health conditions. It’s why it’s a matter that I’m talking about. It’s a root cause.
✨ A gentle reminder for you (and for me): “I love who I am, not how much I do.” My self worth is inherent mot dependent on (net worth, weight, SM followers, fill in the _________).
Rewiring your thoughts can quiet your stress response, lower cortisol, and create space for healing.
Your nervous system listens to your words—so speak kindly.
💕What’s one self-critical thought you’re so ready to reframe this today? I’m transforming that I’m never achieving enough to I am safe and have everything I need. A message I need to hear at the end of a day of trying to keep up with too much at once!
How about you, sis? 💕 hint reply while listening to the 🎧 and then tag someone you love.
