Local. Independent. Privately Owned (In case you were wondering).

Dr. Brown (DB) began her career at the Stonewall Veterinary Clinic under the mentorship of Dr. Noel Catrysse after graduating from the University of Saskatchewan Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2007.

Since 2015, when DB became owner, the SVH team have been proud to offer a fear free enviroment, comprehensive medical & surgical care and integrative veterinary medicine to our patients.

SVH supports local community events and initiatives including Quarry Days, Stonewall Collegiate Scholarship, hiring students to gain work experience, Ride for Children’s Wish, and several sporting teams and fundraising events throughout the year.

If you guessed crystals and bladder, you would be right!

❗️❗️❗️One of the most common things we see in felines is crystals in the urine. This condition can be caused by diet, stress, weight or lack of exercise and many other reasons. The crystals are formed by the pH level of the urine being too high which can potentially create a block in the urethra possibly preventing them from urinating. Male cat are more prone to blockages due to crystals then females. However, if you notice your cat is straining to urinate, vocalizing while urinating or blood in the urine, contact your veterinarian immediately as a urinary blockage can be life threatening. ❗️❗️❗️
