We are accepting new clients! Our new receptionist can’t wait to greet you!
October is RVT month! Here at Briarwood, we are
grateful to all 3 of our technicians for their compassion, dedication and care for all our patients and clients. We will be spotlighting each RVT here on our page to celebrate them. Our first spotlight is on our Full Time RVT Amy! Here is what Amy had to say about herself and about being an RVT:
Like most technicians, my passion for animals started when I was young. I was 5 years old when I got my first Basset Hound, and haven't looked back since! I currently have a 10 year old Basset named Heidi, and a cat named Tika. I graduated from St. Lawrence College with an Advanced Diploma in Veterinary Technology in May 2017. I became an RVT in 2019. I also have my BA in Psychology from the University of Windsor. While studying at university, neuroscience really captured my interest. I was able to apply this interest during my research internship, where we studied concussions using various imaging techniques such as CET and MRI. I particularly enjoy surgery & anesthesia. I've been at Briarwood since 2019. We all work well together as a team now and each one of us brings something special to the dynamic at Briarwood.
Fear Free Friday
Our little friend didn't mind his nail trim with yummy food as a distraction. Nail trims dont have to be stressful.
