One of our new dogs Chico saying hello here.

Hey guys! I'm Chico. I enjoy long walks just about anywhere as long as my people by my side. When these fine people picked me up I was pretty shy and a little over stimulated. Then I moved again into my foster home. What a whirlwind. I don't really understand but life can be funny sometimes.

My foster mom is really sweet to me. She's so much fun. The kids that live here are also pretty cool. I like to give them kisses and play with them. There's this tall guy though .... He seems okay but I am still investigating him. Being an introvert makes it a bit tough some days to meet new people, especially when everything is new right now.

I'm feeling a bunch better now and settling in after a bit of time and kinda really digging this place. I like the decor they have. Makes me feel like a bit of a king. There's this chair I can perch on like royalty. I'm so cute they keep giving me treats that I couldn't resist. Got a belly ache though, so I had to let them know I had enough.

I am slowly starting to think maybe I don't wanna move again, but we will see. I can be a charmer at times. Let's see how good I can be! Maybe I'll change my mind and put my resume out for another security guard position in the new year. I'll keep ya all in the loop, and if I do.....you'll be the first to know!

ADR is a non-profit organization with no paid employees. Every penny goes into providing care for dogs that need us. All funds come from donations, fund raising, grants, and our modest adoption fee. We can't do this without you!

We had a great day yesterday at the Lloyd show. Our up and coming little man Loki collected 2 Best of Winners and 2 Best Puppy in Breed collecting 6 points and finishing off his CKC Championship 🎉🎉. He really seems to love this dog show stuff, just like his mother Roxy, Father Zippy, and Grandma Coco, looking forward to finishing his Grand Chamionship now.

Just a reminder to stay patient when submitting an application to ADR.

We receive dozens of applications each week, and recently have been receiving even more! It is impossible for us to respond individually to each application. However, if you are a good fit for one of our dogs, we will reach out.

Each dog that comes to us has a unique personality and specific needs, and our adoption applicants are screened for suitability and compatibility as well as criteria related to care and commitment.

All ADR volunteers are just that. It takes a lot of time to organize and do what we do for the dogs. We all have full time jobs, families and obligations as well, and sometimes time can't be right for all of us. We are trying our best to get all these things done as best we can.

We take the time to carefully read each and every application. If we find your application aligns well with the needs of one of our available dogs, we will contact you to further the adoption process. If you don't hear from us, don't despair! There could be another dog in the near future that might be just for you...

We are experiencing a lot of dogs needing a new home. With the rise in intake of late we are in need of more foster homes quickly.

We have three dogs coming in waiting for a foster home.

As a foster home you get to play with a buddy, teach them about a new life and watch them blossom. They'll need to go to the vet and have a ride there and back and you'll need to communicate how they're doing. ADR provides everything needed for them. You even get to help us place them in the right home.....and if that home is yours....you get to keep them.
