As we prepare to ride on in to 2025 I am incredibly grateful for all the support in 2024 ❤️🦄 I am so proud of all my lesson students for all their progress this year, getting to see you guys improve and cheering you on is my very favorite 🤩 I’m so excited for 2025, its gonna be a great year :) love you guys, thanks for being so awesome 🫶

I opened up the last bit of untouched pasture today for the ponies that are out there, and they thought it was fun to run around for a grand total of 2 minutes before deciding that eating is better than exercising 😂😂

What a busy but fun week! We had our first camp of the summer here this week, did our first cut of hay and made some beautiful hay for the ponies, and I got back on Julió (who is now 3 🦄)for the first time since last fall! Thanks to all the campers and our helpers for all the laughs and fun memories made at camp this week!! I absolutely loved having you all join us for camp this week! 🦄☀️🌾🦄

Had the most fun riding 16km round trip from our barn to the North Saskatchewan River today!! Weather was lovely, the ponies were amazing, and it was such a fun group of ladies to do it with! Thanks for the laughs and memories made my friends! Looking forward to next year! Maybe I’ll even ride Julió for our ride to the river next year haha! ☀️🦄☀️

Last call for camp this summer! We only have 1 SPOT LEFT! 🦄☀️🦄

Summer horse day camp at Timber Ridge is returning this summer! We will be hosting 3 camps this year:

July 8-12 for ages 7-15 (FULL)

July 29-August 2 for ages 7-15 (Only 1 spot left!)

August 12-16 for ages 10-17 (FULL)

All camps will run from 9am-3pm each day, and cost $450+gst for the week.

They will be run similar to our camps in the past where the campers would be spilt into two groups for their riding lesson each day depending on age and ability, with some new games and activities as well :) there will be tons of fun activities, all centered around horses and horse care 🦄

Campers will need to bring a great attitude, an ASTM certified riding helmet, boots with a heel and lunch/snacks.

A non-refundable deposit of $200+gst ($210 total) is needed to secure a spot :) the remaining balance is due 2 weeks before the start of camp.

I am super excited to do camp again this summer, and I think it’s going to be the most fun camps yet :) I expect these camps to fill up quickly, so if you/your child wants to come let’s get registered! 🥳🦄

So incredibly thankful for Dr.Emily and the crew at Westhills Equine Veterinary Services for coming to do our spring vet day here at Timber Ridge this week! Did a bunch of floats, some soundness evaluations and joint injections, a couple chiros and vaccines!

So thankful to have such a great team of vets who help the ponies here feel their best 🦄❤️

You guys! We made it through January 🥳🥳 feels a lot like spring outside this week, and the two week forecast is looking mighty fine 🥳 maybe spring is here? Probably not, but there is always wishful thinking 😂😂

Also can’t believe baby Julió will be THREE in just over 2 months here, time flys when you are having fun! 🦄 I may be biased but Julió was a darn cute baby, and a ham from day one 😂 rarely can you walk through his paddock without him coming to say hi, and possibly try to innocently steal the halter/lead rope you are carrying for the other horse that you are actually there to grab 😂 oh Julió, at least you aren’t lacking in the personality department 😂

You know, while there is no snow yet this year I am very thankful for the mild weather we have had to close out 2023. Hoping for all the rain in the spring to water the pastures and hay fields, because Farmer Rach needs the spring rain 😂😂

Looking back at this year I am extremely grateful for everyone who has walked through our barn door ❤️ thank you so much for all your love and support this year, cheers to an even better 2024! 🦄🦄

Exciting news!! Ebby has officially been bred 🥳🥳🥳 everything went according to plan this week timing wise (which is always good!), now all we have to do is wait two weeks to see if she is pregnant! I'm absolutely loving this purebred Arab gelding who is in for training right now. As far as I know, he was green broke as a 4 or 5 year old, but hasn't been rode for about the last year and a half or two years. This is the 5th ride I have on him, and I am super impressed with how well he is doing. He is a half brother to my horse Fire, who I showed and won with at Canadian Arabian Nationals in 2015 🌹🌹I am very thankful for the opportunity to train this beautiful boy. Hey everyone! Meet my new project horse Spartan! I picked him up on Friday, and until that day he had never been touched. He is a 5 year old purebred Arab stallion, but as soon as he is a little bit more halter broke he will be gelded. I've been working with him every day and I would say that his training is going fantastic for essentially being a wild horse 4 days ago. Today he let me touch him all over, pick up his front feet, and he is on his way to being halter broke :) He also needs to gain a fair bit of fat and muscle, but I'll have that fixed up in no time :) I am excited to see what the future holds for him! -Rachel www.timberridgestables.com

If you have ever wondered why Fire is my favourite just watch this video... The bond I have with him is something that I don't think could ever be replaced. I trust him, and he trusts me. It can be scary to let go, but the freedom & joy that can come with it is so much greater than anything you can experience if you don't. Thank you Fire for taking care of me, especially when we ride bareback and bridle-less like in this video. P.S.
