πΎ Important Update for Dog Owners Traveling to the U.S. πΎ
Starting August 1, 2024, new regulations are in place for bringing your canine companion to the U.S. (by land or air) πΆβοΈ Hereβs what you need:
1. Age and Health: Your dog must be at least 6 months old and healthy upon arrival.
2. Microchip: Your dog must have an ISO-compatible microchip implanted before receiving the rabies vaccination.
3. Health Certificate: Obtain from a licensed veterinarian 30 days prior to travel.
4. CDC Dog Import Form: Fill out this form online 2-10 days before arrival, including a clear photo of your dog. For pups under 1 year, take the photo within 10 days of arrival.
