Olive Therapy Training Update! 🐾🤩🎉🐶

GREAT WORK OLIVE!!!! 🐾👏🏽🎉🐾👏🏽🎉🐾👏🏽🎉

Olive was READY TODAY! At the beginning of our session today, we started with "PAW, HOLD & TAP," and she quickly flew through that without any flinching and/or concerns.

So, we attempted one nail trim on the back paw - AND WE DID IT! We praised, celebrated, and rewarded! We continued this process... UNTIL ALL HER NAILS WERE TRIMMED!

Olive's determination today was fearless! 🤩🎉🐾 and this is just after 3 therapy training sessions!

We will continue our therapy training sessions for a few more weeks to reduce the nails, quick, and to build a stronger routine and trusting relationship.

This shows us that routine & consistentcy, fear-free techniques & methods and our therapy training programs... really do work! 😇

We couldn't be more proud of you, Olive. ✨️🎉🤩🐾🐶

Finley Therapy Training Update! 🤩🐶🐾

Finley SHOWED UP TODAY! 👏🏽 Today, we continued to work on "Paw & Hold" for more than 5 seconds along with tapping the clippers on his nails - and he was passing this session with flying colors! So, we took a chance, and we clipped a nail... with complete success! 🎉

He was shocked & confused, but most importantly, proud of himself! 😇

This was enough for Finley for one day, but rewarding him with treats and praises will only lead us to a more successful therapy session next week!

Olive Therapy Training Update! 🤩🐾

Today, Olive did amazing! We continued to work on "Paw & Hold" to desensitize and get Olive used to someone holding his paw for more than 5 seconds AND we continued to work on tapping the clippers on his nails - and he would only be rewarded a treat IF he didn't flinch. Today, he successfully held his paw for over 5 seconds, and he allowed tapping the clippers on his nails for BOTH OF HIS FRONT PAWS!

These are great first steps towards a successful, fear-free nail trimming!

Great work, Olive! Your progress is truly remarkable, in just 2 appointments!

Next week, we will attempt our first clippers in our therapy training program! 😀 Stay tuned! 🤩🥰🐾
