We also offer Certified Fear Free training to help your dog to be less stressed and more comfortable with the grooming experience. Jim bob is a shy cat who takes time to trust. Earning his trust and having him greet me, stay in the room with me and eat in front of me was huge. Jim Bob has been known to hide in a room upstairs behind pictures and boxes. Although he did not engage in play he stayed to watch the cat nip bubbles. He didn’t engage with the treat trail( but enjoyed that little buffet after I left) I love earning the trust of your beloved pets a little more each visit!

This handsome boy has been a client for over 3 years! Wilson loves outdoor play especially frisbee or fetch. However his favourite Enrichment game is “find it” he is gated in the kitchen while I hide his fav toy. I sneakily hide it in a few spots ( to create a scent tray and decoy)then the final spot before releasing Wilson to track it. He is so good at this game! Five rounds and he is totally exhausted! Then a little treat enrichment with the Kong Wobbler.

Tongue out Tuesday!

Happy ! Did you know the flexible shape of a cat's tongue is unique. The tip of the tongue can be curled up and backward. This shape allows surface tension to pull water up during lapping. The cat then closes their jaws to capture the liquid and swallow it. The reason a cat's tongue is so rough is due to all the backwards facing spines ( or papillae) that run along it. These papillae have all sorts of fantastic uses. They're great for stripping meat from bones, allowing them to extract the maximum nutrition from their prey in the most quick and efficient way.

Another day, another problem. We ARE open but you have to walk here from a block away. Surrounding streets are closed due to a water main break at St. Patrick and Downie. We have a river running down Downie street but the sidewalk is fine! 💦

Roxie is a social cuddly cat who loves her weekly enrichment visits! She greets me at the door and the purring commences. Check out my story for more.
Her sister Stella is very shy with some Fear,Anxiety and Stress (FAS) I work on small trust building sessions with Stella along with short enrichment games with her.

In these cold temperatures, pets are more vulnerable to developing frostbite, especially on their paws, ears and tail. A good rule of thumb is that if it's too cold outside for you, it's probably too cold for your pet. If you think your pet may have frostbite, take them to your veterinarian immediately.
