Keno Hills also offers riding lessons to all ages, experience levels, and disciplines (English, Western, etc.). We breed our own herd of top quality Arabian horses right here at home. In the show ring we specialize in Dressage and Hunter/ Jumper, and we have bred and trained many National Champions in all disc

What a fun boxing day at the barn! Long-time client and 4th year UofCVM student Mikayla Newbold provided us with an Equine Health and First Aid 101 clinic. Lesson students learnt how to identify if a horse is sick, how to take vitals and know what is normal and what is not. We finished up with a hands on lab portion!

KHS E###emplify (MC Khastle x ### Pioneer Lily) "Leo" is a 2016 Purebred Gelding who was featured in our sneak peek yesterday. This lovely gentleman is a favorite amongst our lesson kids and he's looking for his forever kid. Leo is walk, trot, canter, schooling training and first level movements, and has started over fences. This young gentleman has been showing what the Keno breeding program is all about, quiet family friendly quality horses. 6 years old and a stead fast in our lesson program, this gelding has the ability to do it all. Horse feature: Molly Update from previous flatting post. This 7 year old 15.3 hh mare has a wonderful big canter and huge scope for her size. She is snuggly in the barn, and would make a great mount for an intermediate teen looking to grow with their first horse! She has an excellent lead change, practically auto. She is a more foreword, soft ride. She dreams of one day entering the hunter jumper ring!

Our last lovely gentleman is Charlie! Charlie is a big mover best suited to a dressage career, he has shown potential over 2'3" and higher. He does changes and is very supple through his body with great head carriage and natural frame. He stands at just above 17HH and is best suited to an intermediate in a program or an advanced rider. Charlie has had tie down surgery, this has had no impact on his performance however it does give him his characteristic working "snort".
