We have officially passed the $15,000 mark for donations + matching! 💙 We cannot begin to express our gratitude to everyone who has donated this .

Every donation - no matter how big or small - makes a world of difference to cats in need and the people who love them. That includes cats like Silkworm (pictured), who arrived at MEOW as part of our TNR (Trap Neuter Return) program. While Silkworm started his life as an outdoor cat, it quickly became apparent that this shy but sweet boy had a promising future as a loving house cat.

***WE'RE HIRING***
I'm looking to add a full-time member to the Maverick team. It has got to a point now that the workload has become more than I feel comfortable dealing with on my own, and I feel the time has come to start expanding to cater to a growing demand. You will be working directly with me on a daily basis.

Job Overview:

You will mostly be doing jobs around the workshop that are vital to production but take up a lot of my time jobs, including:

Cutting wood to prep for the lathe.
Cleaning and maintaining equipment
Basic lathe work.
Sanding and polishing
Packing products ready for shipping

All training will be provided. If you prove to me you can do all of the above, I'll have no issues teaching you the parts of the manufacturing process that carry more weight, such as CNC work, turning, polishing chanters, etc.

I'm not overly bothered about your background, but I am looking for a certain type of person.

I'm looking for specifically:

An eye for detail; I need someone who takes pride in their work. The products that leave our doors are top tier, and I won't sacrifice quality for anything.

A decent work ethic; You have to be able to work well in a team and on your own.

No bams; If you had to ask yourself, "Am I a bam?" Then this job probably isn't for you.

Punctual; Arrive / leave when you are meant to.

Decent craic: Try and have a bit of life about you. If we are going to be spending 40 hours a week together, I'd rather someone who has a spark to them.

Pay will be basic to begin with, but I will add to it as you become more valuable. If you can only sweep a floor and count to high single digits (on a good day), then don't expect a great deal because I won't. If it turns out you're a capable worker that I can depend on, I'll see to it you are paid accordingly.
