Veterans will appreciate the donations more than most people would know. So spread the word, and letโ€™s give back to our veterans by caring for their beloved pets.

Wash paws and fur thoroughly if they encounter any medications.

Get ready for a spooktacular night with your pets! Here are some tips to keep them safe and happy this Halloween:

๐‚๐จ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ž ๐‚๐š๐ฎ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง: If youโ€™re dressing up your pet, make sure their costume is comfortable and doesnโ€™t restrict movement or breathing. Always supervise them while theyโ€™re wearing it!
๐’๐š๐Ÿ๐ž ๐“๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ญ๐ฌ: Keep those candy bowls out of reach! Chocolate and other treats can be harmful to pets. Opt for pet-friendly treats instead!
๐ƒ๐ž๐œ๐จ๐ซ ๐€๐ฐ๐š๐ซ๐ž๐ง๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ: Avoid using decorations that could be hazardous. Keep wires, candles, and small decorations away from curious paws and noses.
๐‚๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ญ๐ž ๐š ๐’๐š๐Ÿ๐ž ๐’๐ฉ๐š๐œ๐ž: If your pet gets anxious with all the commotion, set up a quiet, cozy area for them to relax during trick-or-treating.
๐ˆ๐ƒ ๐‚๐ก๐ž๐œ๐ค: Ensure your pet's ID tags and microchips are up to date, just in case they escape with all the excitement!
๐–๐š๐ญ๐œ๐ก ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ƒ๐จ๐จ๐ซ: Keep an eye on your pet when the door opens. A sudden influx of trick-or-treaters could lead to a great escape
๐Ž๐ฎ๐ญ๐๐จ๐จ๐ซ ๐’๐š๐Ÿ๐ž๐ญ๐ฒ: If youโ€™re planning on taking your pet out trick-or-treating with you, ensure they are always on leash and visible to you and others passing by with the use of a lighted collar or reflective strips.

Have a hauntingly good time and keep those tails wagging!

๐’๐ญ๐š๐ฒ ๐‚๐š๐ฅ๐ฆ: Approach the situation with a calm demeanor to avoid stressing the animal further.
๐Ž๐›๐ฌ๐ž๐ซ๐ฏ๐ž ๐…๐ข๐ซ๐ฌ๐ญ: Before intervening, watch from a distance. Many animals are simply resting or temporarily left alone by their parents.

๐ƒ๐จ ๐๐จ๐ญ ๐…๐ž๐ž๐: Feeding wild animals can do more harm than good. They require specific diets, and feeding can lead to dependency on humans.
๐’๐ž๐œ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ž ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐€๐ซ๐ž๐š: If safe to do so, keep pets and children away from the animal to minimize stress.
