Ticks are out there now that the weather is warming up. We pulled all these off of one dog just today. Make sure you get your dogs tick and flea prevention.
This is what Heartworm looks like in your pets blood sample taken for a heartworm test. It is easily preventable with the proper treatment, yet we are still seeing a bunch of heartworm positive pets this season.
Ear Mites
This right here is Otodectes Cynotis, also known as ear mites. Found inside your pets ears and can be mistaken for just having dirty ears!
A few signs for ear mites may be: Shaking their head or scratching ears excessively, red and inflamed ears caused by extra wax and irritation, and producing a black, dry ear discharge which can sometimes let off a bad smell!
Get your pets ears checked whenever you notice any sign of extra buildup and keep them free of these little critters!
