They are certified CVO technicians who offers a safe and reliable service that includes brushing and scaling with the use of hand instruments above the gum line to gently remove tartar without using any anesthesia that is considered an increase high risk of dead in pets while anesthetized.

Cost: 189$ +tax

It’s with mixed emotions and a heavy heart that I’m announcing the closure of Lisa’s Pet Grooming as of December first 2022.

The past few years have taken a toll on so many of us in different ways and with my health declining this is a move I need to make professionally and personally.

I cannot express how much love and appreciation I have for all of you and your wonderful furry companions that I watched grow and with whom you have trusted me over the years.

I have adored every moment with your pets like they were my own and the thought of not seing them again is really difficult on me.

I’m happy to transfer all my notes to Chanel (Chanel's Pet Grooming) who will be taking over the shop at 56 John Street.

I trust and highly recommend this list of groomers and have informed them of my upcoming plans. They are eager to meet you and your pets !

Kissable K9 Care is a cosmetic teeth cleaning service that cleans your fur baby’s teeth. They currently serve 70+ Pet Valu stores, private locations like mine and animal charities in Ontario.

They are CVO certified who work their magic to create a relaxing and comfortable environment for your fur baby. To do this they lightly spray the room with lavender oils, swaddle him or her in a blanket in the technician’s lap and use massage while they are awake. The comfort of your dog is always their top priority.

It is very rare, but if for some reason the animal becomes frightened and stressed during the procedure and the technician is unable to calm them the following steps will take place: the procedure is stopped, the client will be called and the client does not pay. They always act in the best interest of your pup ❤

Happy International Dog Day !!

International Dog Day was founded by Colleen Paige, a pet and family lifestyle expert, animal rescue advocate, conservationist, dog trainer, and author. This special day was first celebrated in the year 2004.

The day is dedicated to the unconditional love and selfless work of dogs towards humans. In addition, the day aims to help the public recognise the number of dogs that must be rescued each year, either from public shelters, rescues and purebred rescues.

Ms Paige chose the date of August 26 in particular as it was on this date that the activist's family adopted their first dog "Sheltie" from the local animal shelter. Ms Colleen was 10 when the family welcomed Sheltie into their fold ❤

If someone is looking for a dogsitter in SturgeonFalls :)

I've taken care of dogs and cats since I was very young. As a family, we had a dog and a cat, and now have a little puppy. I used to dogsit for family members when they were on vacation or simply gone for a few days. I love all animals and would love to help you out with your little one. I'm a tea.....

Who else got skunked 🙋‍♀️

We've received a high volume calls about what to do if your dog gets sprayed by a skunk and of course we got jinxed 😅

First of all, do not wet your dog but instead mix 1 quart of 3 percent hydrogen peroxide (fresh bottle), ¼ cup of baking soda, and 1-2 teaspoons of liquid dish soap and apply the paste on the area for 30 mins.

I also applied Crest toothpaste and vanilla abstract on Lexie and let it dry before rinsing.... we've heard washing the area with feminine hygiene do**he helps eliminating the smell immediately.

Buster is a Saint-Bernard that comes every 4-6 weeks for a bath and we noticed what we believe is a hot spot (large wet scab where the surrounding hair sticks tight over the area creating an ideal environment for bacteria to grow)

Your dog is more likely to get hot spots if they have allergies, frequent skin or ear infections or a long coat or a double coat.

Water-loving pups also carry a higher risk factor because damp fur is the ideal environment for hot spot-causing bacteria to grow.

Since we are not vet, we trimmed and clean the affected area, applied calming tea tree shampoo bath and an all-natural balm made for dogs and also notified mom to keep an eye on it and talk to her vet.

When you groom your dog regularly, your groomer can easily notice health issues that you could monitor closely or talk to your vet immediately.

The Pawfect Team followed up with mommy the next day and happy to hear Buster is doing great !! 🥰
