It's been a little over a week so I thought I would let you all know how the snuffle mats are holding up!
The boys love them!
They are holding up well, survived the washing machine twice, I let them air dry. They even did good with their rough housing 😅.
I do figure we will loose the ball eventually, as it seems to be held together with hot glue in the core of it.

The molds are holding up well too, easy to clean & they have completed multiple batches!
Jake's favorite seems to be with spinach, as Whiskey has been loving ANYTHING with coconut oil in it 😆 💜🐾

Jake & Whiskey practicing some presence doesn't mean access. Our doors are not left open as much in winter as summer, and I like to make sure my dogs know just because the door is open, it does not mean you get to go out of it (I speak from experience, Jake has gotten loose on us before from a door being opened to let company inside). So we make sure we take a few time's during the winter on nicer days to practice this to make sure they get a top up. We desided to practice this on a day we brought groceries in! 🐾💜

I know, I’ve been posting a lot lately… but I’m still on the hunt for 3 dogs that want to be switch from a Kibble diet to a Raw Diet! (What dog wouldn’t want that?!?)

I have currently completed the written portion of the Holistc Carnivor Nutrition Course but to get my certification I need to do case studies on 3 dogs for 3 months. Observing changes in skin, fur, teeth, energy level, weight etc.

The dogs must currently be on a Kibble Diet and switching to a full Raw Diet. I will need very specific before and after photos and we will need to speak once a month to update me on what you’re observing if anything.

There is no cost involved to you. Other than some of your time and I can also help you out with recipes, what supplements to add, and any issues with any part of the transition.

One of the first steps to correcting behaviors you do not want is stopping the rehearsal (& a very important one too)! It's like trying to break an old habit. First, you need to recognize it, catch yourself (or your dog 😅) and find something that will work for you & your dog to prevent it from happening.
Whether it's items, changing your routine, blocking something out, or just having to move something.

⚠️ Dog Owners Beware!⚠️
If you like your sweeteners, be mindful of your pets and remember to check the ingredients! 💜🐾

⚠️ Even small amounts of xylitol can cause hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), seizures, liver failure or even death in dogs. The higher the amount your dog eats, the greater the risk of liver failure complications.

Manufacturers extract xylitol (also called birch sugar) from birch trees, corn fiber, hardwoods and other vegetable matter. It’s made into a white powder that looks and tastes like sugar. It’s about as sweet as sucrose but contains about half the calories, and it doesn’t cause blood sugar spikes.

👉 Here's where xylitol/birch sugar is hiding:
* Drink powders
* Cough drops and syrups
* Instant coffee
* BBQ sauce and ketchup
* Vitamins
* Candy and chocolates
* Toothpaste and mouthwash
* Chewing gum and mints
* Peanut butter, jam, pancake syrup
* Pudding

When a dog eats something containing xylitol, it’s quickly absorbed into the bloodstream. This causes a potent release of insulin from the pancreas. This rapid release of insulin results in a profound drop in the level of blood sugar (hypoglycemia). And it can happen within 10 to 60 minutes of ingestion. Untreated, this hypoglycemia is often life-threatening.

But ... if you know your dog is poisoned with xylitol, you need to get your dog to the vet for an intra-muscular shot of glutathione. Glutathione is the "king of antioxidants" and is found in every cell. The liver is the major organ of detoxification and desperately needs glutathione to stay healthy ... especially in poisoning emergencies like this. Giving it orally doesn't work ... it must be injected directly.

Most compounding pharmacies can prepare this for you as an intramuscular solution that you can take to your vet or emergency clinic.

u haz no idea how hard it’z bin 2 get thiz dun teh last while. 😮‍💨

mommo & daid got married!🤵‍♂️👰‍♀️💍

i mean, am not so sure y it wuz so hectic around here 4 a bit, everythin' seemz normal nao! but there wuz stuf everywhere! jars, lights, stringy stuf, rope! lotz of rope! flowers, more jars, rockz 2! i likd teh rocks, mommo wud drop them on teh floor 4 me so we could play tag, that wuz teh bes, she did mumble when we played, but i nevr pay atention 2 hr mumbling!

we did get lotz of gamez an schmakkos tho, along with scatr feeding, snuffle mats, an licki matz. Somethin' mommo callz cucumber, am not real a fan, i like teh long orange thingz tho, carrotz 🤔 they r crunchy!

mommo wuz home more 2, she got 2 spend teh whole daze with us! well, i mean, we did ned our beauty snooze az well, so we herdd hr into teh kitchen 2 go do hr stuf when we did that, she’z so noisy sumtimez. We had more company through teh week with mommo 2, that wuz fun but that also ran into our nighty moon beauty snooze az well!

once all that fun stuf wuz dun an left teh house it wuz quieter, got some much needd beauty snooze then. Aftr that daid wuz home more, mommo wuz still busy, but she did alwayz haz lotz of smellz 2 checc out when she got home, deff had 2 giv teh full investigation! mommo soon startd 2 stay home more 2! yay! we went onna couple adventurez in the big open an nao mommo an daid r gone again 4 teh sun. Jake an i can finally get bacc 2 our sun snooze in peace!🧡🐾

we went in the big open 4 a drive 🚗 mommo sayz i ned 2 lurn 2 stay on mai own side cause i keep squishin' jake! i say mai buckle reachez so am lookin' out hims window 2! 🪟

we went 2 teh beach ⛱️ i luv playin' in teh water, daid bringz mai ringz an we play with those az well! i like leavin' them in teh watr 2 4 daid 2 go get then i zoom rrite by him an splash watr all ovr them! jake isn't that excite about teh beach, he likez sniffin' around in teh long grrrass, i mean, u no u getin' old when!!!

o ya!!! we had a whole flocc of birdz 🐦 land in teh bacc yard an mommo didn't notice when she let uz out!! 😳 u should haz seen uz go!!!!! i haven't seen birdz or jake move like that in ages! it wuz super fun 🐕🐦

we went 4 walks, mommo sayz they r faild walks, i guesz that'z wut short walk r calld. She sayz that apparently i forgot mai leash mannerz an we ned 2 top up on mai trainin' an she wont allow me 2 keep rehersin' it. I mean, i lead u an u follow, isn't that how it works? she insistd that it isn't, an somethin' about a socket. 🙄 am not exactly sure, i walkd away at that point.

i got a new monkey 🐒, can't remembr if i mentiond that yet!! i luv him, i likd 2 show him off 2, it wasnt a touch toy, it wuz a show toy. but mommo an daid, along with otherz. kept touchin' hims armz or tryin' 2 play with him an i didn't want anyone 2 touch him so i had 2 get rid of them! nao i haz a monkey with no arms, legs, or squeaker! 😮‍💨

then of course teh usual, u no, playin' games, licki mats, kongs, cuddle tyme an down tyme!

Do you know the benefits of using a licki/licky/lick mat?

Using a licki mat encourages the act of licking, which releases pleasure endorphins in your dogs brain. These endorphins can help calm dogs down in stressful situations.

A licki mat can serve as entertainment for a bored or anxious dog. The repetitive action of licking is shown to release endorphins in the brain that in turn cause a calming effect

They can help reduce stress and anxiety -- if your dog gets overwhelmed during bathing, grooming, or other activities, the lick mat provides a welcomed (and delicious) distraction

You can also use them to give a treat or reward. Also, a mat can be giving to encourage calmness in you dog as well. It's not just a tool thats only giving to your dog for stressful times, you can give them one whenever you like as you can also feed your dog their main meals in them as well!💜🐾

u nevr guesz wut happend yesterday, mommo got me a new monkey!! i wuz so excite mai wiggle but wuz doin' circlez. mommo sayz thatz mai helicoptr wag! 🥳 i luv new toys, i like those more then new schmakkos.
jake got a big bag of cheese flavor beggin schmakkos, he lovez schmakkos more then toys! mommo tellz daid not 2 fed him 2 many cuz they r not that gud 4 him but jake sayz mommo lies, they r grrreat!

we also had some yum yumz on teh mat, iz wuz messy an all teh nOmz!, yogurt an blueberriez 🫐. It didn't last long tho, so i dont think mommo did it teh rrite way.
mommo also said somethin' about notin' 2 self an purple everywhere?

i also maid myself a nice nest on teh floor again, i wish they wud stop movin' mai blanketz. That'z hard wurk! 😒
it haz bin wet in the big open, so we weren't out much. We did lotz of gamez an enritment instead. Mommo sayz we had a bucket emptyin' week. I like those, i get lotz of napz an schmakkos! 🧡🐾

Training Tip Tuesday 🔥

Did you know that you should always start training at home in a quiet, distraction free spot? Training should start out of the situation, not in the situation. Why? Because most of the time your dogs brain 🧠 is not there. Barking, lunging, pulling, running off, not paying attention, chasing, how are you supposed to teach them in this brain state?! I know I wouldn't be able to learn the same while being distracted!!!📈

Instead, start your training inside, in a distraction free zone, then once you start getting better, start changing up the spot you are training in, try moving to the living room, or in front of the door, then try training with the front door open (⚠️if the safety procedure is there for them not to get loose⚠️)!! If they do not pay attention when you move to a different spot or change up the distraction level, that's okay. It's just information. 📊 All you need to do is go back a step or two (where training is going good) and restart from there!

In the video below, Whiskey & I work on the proper spot for heeling (well, my preferred position 😊). We usually play Magic hand for this but lately he's been falling behind and stops to chew 😆 so I tweaked it a little bit to get him back to position!!
After that I change it up a little and throw in some circles & middle, then we end it with some mouse game variations!! 💜🐾

sorry 4 bein' so late, mommo actually put hr laptop away last moon 😱, so i had 2 wait till she got home an then luckily she left it out when they had 2 go get watr or something, she jus mumble u boyz b gud, ill b rrite bacc mommy lovez u, u no teh usual, i jus no i haz 2 b quicc tho cuz it wasn't teh usual mama'z gota go 2 wurk 2 maik some munnies 2 fill u bellies, b gud!

so 2 that point, i already told u about teh new game, 🤔 an tryin' 2 maik mommo a new garden an replantin' hr plants! I trid 2 maik anothr garden, got teh same answr 🙄

Henloo, iz me again!

yesterday i trid 2 regarden 4 mommo in teh watchin' room, she didn't c if at first but daid did, he laughd an said mommo'z gonna b pupset. I wasn't sure wut he wuz talkin' about. I thought i did a gud boi, shez gonna haz happ wiggle but! when mommo finally seen it, she didn't haz wiggle but, she sigh, then giggld an mumblez somethin' about took longr then she expected! i wuz a litle sad nao knowin' i could haz dun it soonr 4 her!! 🙁

mommo also maid a new enritment game, she told daid that she had 2 go get crunchez in a dish 4 it, 2 of them 4 both me an jake, but i think that wuz jus an excuse 2 haz crunchez....she didn't even share 😒. It wuz hardr then teh 1 i smell 4, i had 2 move it an sniff it an keep teh snackz comin' out, didn't like it az much. Then mommo took teh lid off, it wuz easier, betr 4 yummiez an tummiez ! 🧡🐾
