Keeping Cats Homed

Keeping Cats Homed We are a non-profit group of volunteers who are dedicated to trying to ensure all cats have a loving, forever home. More info on our adoption process.

We charge a $100 adoption fee which helps to offset the cost of care, veterinary care, first set of vaccinations and treatment with Revolution. If interested in adopting one of our "adoptables", an adoption application must be completed and submitted for approval. Once approved, your kitten will be held for you until the kitten is ready for adoption. When choosing a potential home for these kitten

s we want to ensure they are going to homes where they will be indoor only (in most situations), will be provided with all veterinary care required including vaccinations, spay/neuter and any follow up care required. Declawing is not permitted with any of our kittens and is in our adoption contract. The application form and contract are available on our website so please take the time to read this through before applying to ensure you are OK with our requirements prior to application. We do require all kittens to be picked up and taken home in a cat carrier for their safety. We do follow up on our kittens to ensure all requirements have been followed and all is going well as we love to see our babies grow into happy cats and members of their new homes.

Mama Callie, who gave birth on Halloween to a whopping 8 babies, has officially retired from .

Callie is only around a year old and after living most of her life outside, she has become very comfortable with life indoors - it's time for the pampered princess era.

She gets along well with other cats and would love to have a companion in her new home. She is a bit timid but loves pet's and scratches. She is a smart cookie and catched onto routines very quickly and is sensitive to her humans - if you are sad she will comfort you.

Callie has received her vaccines and is spayed, and is ready for her forever home. If you are looking to give this retired mom her best life, become an approved adopted today.

At this point, all of the kittens posted on Facebook have been adopted and are now with their new families.

As kitten season is over for another year, we only expect the odd kitten or litter until the spring. This will provide a much needed break for our volunteers.

If you have been pre-approved to adopt, this approval is valid for 6 months.

We look forward to some time to prepare for the spring when kitten season starts again. We will continue to keep you up to date and provide some happy endings and interesting information.

We will continue to monitor all messages in the case of emergencies however if you have general questions, responses may be slower. Please continue to reach out if you need us. :)

Quick update - there was so much interest in these kittens and so many amazing applications from fantastic homes, that we wish we had so many more kittens to go around. Unfortunately, that is not the case. We have sent out emails to those selected to adopt but we have not received confirmation for each kitten yet. If any don't respond or change their mind, we will head back to the list to the next applicant. Thank you to everyone who has applied to adopt for your patience and understanding. ❤️

-----

Our team has been hard at work going through all of the applications and emails sent expressing interest in adopting the kittens recently posted. Unfortunately, no decisions will be made this evening but we will be back at in the morning. Sleep and clear minds are needed to ensure we are being thorough and fair in making these decisions.

We really appreciate your patience and understanding. Emails will go out tomorrow and an update posted here once that has been done.
