Every year on Remembrance Day we like to remember our veterans who fought hard to give us the peace and happiness that we enjoy today. We also remember the animals who fought alongside them.
The purple poppy is for Remembrance of the animals. And every year I read the story of Sergeant Billy to our youngest goats so they too will remember. Sergeant Billy was a goat that fought alongside the soldiers boosting their morale and keeping them safe. We salute you Sergeant Billy!!
