To say I had an amazing time at the Ottawa Ontario Groom Show is a complete understatement! IT WAS A BLAST!! Continuing education in this industry is so important! Over the three days I was able to meet my grooming idols (Marcia Strong, Blake Herendez, Chantel Hunt, and Mackenzie Murphy) while sitting in on their seminars. I met new idols to follow! I met new peers from all over Canada/US, watched some of the top groomers in Canada and the world compete in a grooming competition, met the owners of company’s that I order products from, brought home some new goodies, and tried to absorb as much information as I could along side seven other Island groomers! To all my clients, I will try my best to apply every thing that I learned to be the best groomer I can be! Can’t wait to go back next year!

I will be out of the shop from October 24- 29 while I fly off to Ottawa to the Ottawa Ontario Grooming Show! It’s my first groomers conference and I am so excited for three days of seminars to learn allll the things and expand my education! 8 years ago two friends were given the opportunity to open a dog grooming shop inside of the best pet supply store on PEI and I am so happy we gave it a try! There have been many changes over the years, learning curves, education, a world pandemic, friendship, tears, belly laughs, and I would not change a single thing. Thank you too Becky Batchilder for showing me the ropes and starting this business with me. Thank you to Becky and staff at Sunnybrook Farms Pet Supply for giving us the opportunity to start our business adventure and for being such a great role model and cheerleader. Thank you to Leah at Talk To The Paw Dog Training for being such a great support and cheerleader! And thank you to all of my past and present clients, at the end of the day I could not have this business without you and I will always appreciate your trust in me with your dogs, your commitment to your dogs, health and well-being, and for following me along this crazy ride!
