This mare had a few issues going on in her mouth, but check out those upper 6 rostral hooks!

Hooks develop on a tooth through abnormal wear. When hooks appear on the upper 6s they are usually similar in the very back on the caudal side of their lower 11s! Not only do hooks interfere with their daily chewing patterns and make them uncomfortable, but they can also create many issues under saddle, such as tossing their head, not wanting to turn, not wanting to stop etc.

How long has it been since your horse was seen by the dentist? You never know what might be going on inside their mouth. Call/text to book your horses in 🐴🦷

My name is Hannah Burrell, and I am finally getting around to making a page for my new business. I would love to have you join me!

I have been very fortunate to have been raised around horses. I grew up on a ranch west of Sundre, where everything has always been done on horseback, and I have barrel raced since I can remember. I enjoy team roping and riding young horses as well! I live and breathe horses, and they are my true passion.

This spring, I took my equine dentistry technician course. I completed my studies with the Canadian Equine Dental Programme. I gained so much knowledge and established a solid foundation for my equine dentistry skills.

I look forward to meeting you and helping your horse feel and perform at its best!
