Everyday pets like yours need blood transfusions to give them the best chance for a successful recovery from serious illness or trauma.

Is your cat or dog a good fit for our program? Our Blood Donor Program supplies blood products to the Lower Mainland and occasionally to other parts of British Columbia.

Animals required blood transfusions for a number of reasons including, but not limited to, major accidents in which they have lost blood, emergency surgery, some types of blood disorders and cancer.
𝘞𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘥𝘰𝘨𝘴 50 𝘭𝘣𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘶𝘱 𝘢𝘴 𝘸𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘢𝘴 𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘸𝘦𝘪𝘨𝘩 𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳 8 𝘭𝘣𝘴.
𝘋𝘰𝘯𝘰𝘳 𝘳𝘦𝘲𝘶𝘪𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘦:

𝘞𝘦 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘧𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘮𝘢𝘭𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘴𝘱𝘢𝘺𝘦𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘯𝘦𝘶𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘥, 𝘩𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘦𝘹𝘤𝘦𝘱𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘣𝘦 𝘮𝘢𝘥𝘦.
AECFV will perform blood tests, at no cost to you, to make sure your pet is healthy. Once enrolled in our program, our donors receive regular bloodwork at no cost. In addition, if a donor ever requires emergency care, our emergency fee will be waived and there will be no cost if they ever require a blood transfusion at our hospital.
To thank you for your pet’s life-saving donation you will receive a gift card of your choice after each donation and your pet gets treats donated by Bark and Fitz Langley and JD Farms.
