🚨 Signs of Poor Gut Health in Dogs 🚨

A healthy gut is essential for your dog’s overall well-being. If your pup is showing these signs, their digestive health might need attention:

🐶 Chronic Diarrhea or Constipation – Frequent digestive issues could indicate an imbalance.
🐶 Excessive Gas & Bloating – Unusual bloating or foul-smelling gas may signal poor digestion.
🐶 Vomiting – Regular vomiting is a red flag that shouldn’t be ignored.
🐶 Dull Coat & Skin Issues – A poor gut can affect nutrient absorption, leading to dry skin and a lackluster coat.
🐶 Frequent Infections – A weak immune system often starts in the gut.
🐶 Low Energy & Mood Changes – A sluggish gut can make your dog feel tired and irritable.

💡 What to Do?
✔️ Feed a balanced diet with probiotics & fiber
✔️ Avoid processed foods & low-quality treats
✔️ Keep fresh water available at all times
✔️ Consult your vet if symptoms persist

🐾 A happy gut means a happy, healthy pup! If you notice these signs, visit your vet for guidance.

Cats have 32 muscles in each ear! This allows them to rotate their ears independently, detecting high-frequency sounds and pinpointing the exact location of noises. This superpower makes them incredible hunters and masters of their environment.

Cats can hear sounds up to 64 kHz, far beyond the human range of 20 kHz.

Keep this in mind the next time your kitty seems to ignore you. It's all part of their feline charm! 😼

Great News for Dog Owners!

We're thrilled to share that the proposed strict dog import requirements for travel to the US have been significantly eased!

Here's what you need to know:

➡️ 9-Month Grace Period: There's a 9-month grace period while Canada and the US work out a permanent solution.

➡️ Simplified Process: Instead of complex paperwork, you now only need to complete an online form before crossing the border. This form is valid for multiple entries over 6 months!

➡️ Basic Requirements: Your furry friend must be healthy, at least 6 months old, and have a readable microchip.

Stay tuned for more updates and timelines from the CVMA.

In the loving memory of our beloved cat.

We are deeply saddened to share the loss of our beloved cat. From June 22, 2006, to July 20, 2024, he touched our lives in ways words can’t fully express.

More than just a pet, he was a beloved member of the Apollo Animal Hospital family. His presence brought joy, comfort, and a sense of home to everyone who walked through our doors.

As we grieve his passing, we celebrate the joy and love he brought into our lives. Rest in peace, dear friend. You will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

With heartfelt sorrow,
The Apollo Animal Hospital Team 🐾💔
