Meet Nielsen! Nielsen, a Rottweiler cross, was born on December 13th, 2024 and currently weighs 17lbs (7.7kg). He is up-to-date on his vaccinations and has been deflead, dewormed, and microchipped. Nielsen is part of Mama Cocoa’s litter that also includes his sisters Lotta and Pippi.

Here is what Nielsen’s foster family shared about him:
Neilsen is the sweetest boy with an adorable face and beautiful clear eyes. He is very affectionate and loves to be held.

He can be very shy when first meeting new people but warms up in time. He’s very playful but also loves to snuggle on the couch with his humans. When playing ball he is getting good at bringing it back otherwise, he takes it straight to his crate.

Neilsen is very comfortable in his crate and sleeps through the night. He is p*e pad trained and is doing his business outside more and more every day. He knows the sit command, is working on recall and is learning his name. He’s progressing on a leash and is getting comfortable being outside.

This cute boy loves belly rubs, is very alert, curious and extremely calm. Neilsen will make an amazing furever friend for a lucky family.

Meet Cocoa! Cocoa is a Rotti/Shepherd mix, born on February 20th, 2024 and currently weighing 30kg. She is up-to-date on her vaccines and has been deflead, dewormed, microchipped, and spayed. Cocoa is the proud mom of Pippi Nielson and Lotta.

Here is what Cocoa’s foster family has to share:

Cocoa is a sweet, gentle girl who thrives on being close to her humans. While initially a bit timid, she quickly builds trust and rewards you with loving kisses and a happily wagging tail. Just make eye contact, and that tail starts going! Her favorite place in the world is right by your side.

This laid-back, low-to-medium energy pup is fully house-trained and heads straight to the door when nature calls. Cocoa doesn’t need a crate - she’s perfectly content relaxing in her bed and has earned free rein of the house. She’s the ideal nighttime companion, sleeping peacefully beside your bed until morning. She’s also wonderfully quiet, only barking when alerting to something important (like raccoons scoping out the yard!), and makes adorable little noises when “talking” to you.

Cocoa walks beautifully on leash without pulling or tugging. While she’s still getting comfortable with busy streets, she really comes alive on trails where every walk becomes a “sniffari.” She’s friendly and calm with people, loves meeting other dogs, and plays beautifully with them. Although she has chased an outdoor cat, she could likely adapt to a cat friend with proper introductions.

This well-mannered girl travels like a pro in the car, simply curling up and settling in for the ride. She enjoys being brushed and cooperates during bath time. Her favorite treats include cheese, peanut butter, beef cheeks, and tuna water - and according to her previous foster, she won’t say no to bacon! She’s still deciding whether bananas, apples, and cucumbers are friends or foes.

With her gentle heart, calm temperament, and excellent manners, Cocoa is the perfect match for someone seeking a sweet, quiet companion who’s happiest just being by your side.

Here is what Pippi’s foster family shared about her:
Pippi is a calm, sweet, affectionate puppy with lots of personality. She loves her doggy foster sister and especially likes stealing her sister’s toys and then hiding them in the crate. She loves meeting new people and new dogs. She would do well in a home with a furry companion or with children.

Pippi is learning to walk on leash and prefers to walk on a harness rather than a collar. She has learned to ‘sit’ and is working on ‘come’. Potty training is going so well - she mostly goes outside and occasionally uses a p*e pad inside. She loves to sleep in her open crate during the day and sleeps in it quietly at night. Pippi has enjoyed car rides, walks and trips to Pet Smart and Winners.

Pippi is a wonderful pup and steals hearts everywhere she goes. She can’t wait to find a loving forever family of her very own to share years of happy memories with!

Here is what Lotta’s foster family has to share about her:

Lotta is a cheerful, sweet, curious, and energetic pup who loves pets and cuddles! Though she may be initially nervous in new environments, she quickly grows comfortable and her curious nature shines through.

This smart girl is making excellent progress with her potty and leash training. She tries to use her p*e pad but might occasionally miss or get confused with similar looking items like paper towels (which she’ll happily chew if given the chance). Initially scared of the outdoors, she’s now comfortable on walks and follows her foster parent eagerly. She’s already learning basic commands like sit and give paw when she wants attention.

Lotta hasn’t had much exposure to other dogs or animals, and was vocal when meeting another dog at the vet. As a teething puppy, she’ll need guidance to redirect her chewing to appropriate toys - she’ll grab anything within reach to play with or chew! She has a self-regulated eating style, taking small amounts of food throughout the day rather than finishing it all at once.

Her foster is currently working with her on separation anxiety, as she whines when left alone (even in a different room), but she’s gradually becoming more independent.

This adaptable puppy is eager to learn and will make a fantastic addition to any home that can provide her with the love, patience, and guidance she needs to grow into her best self!

Sundae is super sweet, loving, and kind! This goofy girl has a playful personality and lots of energy that brings joy to any home. She’s generally quiet around the house but can get excited when she spots other dogs outside. Sundae gets along wonderfully with kids and people, making her a great family companion.

This smart pup is kennel trained and has been working hard on her manners. She’s been doing really well outside the kennel, with no accidents in the house and only chewing on dog toys. While she pulls a bit on the leash during walks, she loves the outdoors and enjoys spending time with her doggy friends. When meeting other dogs face-to-face, she’s very submissive.

Sundae is curious about cats and always tries to play with them but has never shown aggression toward them. She would benefit from an obedience class to help polish some of her behaviors, though she’s already quite intelligent and eager to please. Sundae would thrive in a home with a yard where she can play and explore.

We’re thrilled to partner with for an exciting adoption event!

We’re so grateful to Bosley’s Terra Nova for their year-round support, providing supplies to our rescue. This PAW Month, they’re going the extra mile by raising funds to help even more dogs in need!

Come by, say hi, and be part of this amazing effort. Let’s make a difference together!

If you are looking to adopt, please ensure that you have submitted your application and home check prior to attending an event! We keep approved applications on file, so your application will continue to be valid even if you don’t choose to adopt at a particular event.

If you’re thinking of adopting, these events are great because you get to meet a whole bunch of different pups at once and get to get a good sense of their personalities. Most of the fosters attend the events and are available to answer any questions about the pups in attendance. Any puppies attending this weekend will be available to go home with a previously approved family (application and home check submitted prior to the event).

Not looking to adopt? No problem, come on by and have a beer and cuddle some puppies. We will be having puppy cuddles by donation to help with our forever growing vet bills.

As a reminder, all dogs posted on our page are available for meet n greet with approved adopters! We will post dogs attending the events once attendance is confirmed.

Pastrami is a gentle and curious pup who is just starting to discover the joys of being a family dog! He is a quick learner and has already picked up sit and lay down like a pro. While he enjoys playtime and exploring new spaces, he is also learning to appreciate the simple joys of a cozy nap after a long day of puppy adventures.

Pastrami is still adjusting to life in a home and can be a bit shy at first, but once he starts to trust you, he is incredibly sweet and eager to learn. He’s making great progress in potty training and leash walking, and with consistency, he’ll have these skills mastered in no time.

Pastrami gets along well with other dogs and is respectful around cats, though he does sometimes get excited and bark at his feline friends. His social nature makes him a good candidate for homes with existing pets, especially another dog companion.

Here is what her foster has to say:
Saint was found underweight and abandoned on Valentine’s Day. Despite not knowing anything about her history, what we do know is how incredibly special she is! She is gorgeous, stealing hearts wherever she goes and has a beautiful personality to match. Saint is simply the smartest, happiest, most loving sweetheart!

Saint loves to go go go! Runners, hikers, beach lovers, and any forever family with lots of energy – this is the girl for you. With lots of continued exercise, training, routine, and love she is going to turn into the most loyal, loving forever companion. We don’t think she has ever had a family or been an inside dog and has been spending the last few weeks learning basic commands, potty training and leash walking.

Saint is a fast learner and is always eager to please. She crates well and enjoys having her own space to relax – she does have some initial separation anxiety due to her past, but settles quickly. She is looking for a family that has experience with Shepherds, understanding the needs of the breed and is dedicated to continuing her socialization and obedience training.

Saint is quite calm and balanced but can be sensitive, getting excited or nervous around new dogs, loud noises, bath time, and other new stimuli. With a calm leader she trusts, she also calms down quickly. Saint has shown some resource guarding but it is something that we are working on. Saint is a big, strong girl and is not yet fully trained so would do best in a home with a full fenced yard and no young children.
