🐾Top 10 Reasons to Seek Dog Boarding🐾
1. Your High-Energy Dog needs To Release Some Energy🐾
Certain breeds have a lot of energy that needs an outlet. If these dogs don’t get the necessary amount of exercise, they tend to release energy by acting out, which can lead to the following:
Chewing
Barking
Digging
Escape attempts
Self-mutilation (licking or chewing self)
With many demands on your time, it can be difficult to provide the attention your pup needs. Boarding allows pets to play with other dogs or friendly, staff members, ensuring they come home tired and happy from a long day of fun.
2. Your Pet Does Not Have Access to Outdoor Play Areas
Certain types of residences don’t have adequate outside areas for enthusiastic pups to run around. This can be especially trying for larger dogs who need more room. A great boarding establishment has plenty of indoor and outdoor play space for pets to enjoy themselves.
3. Kennels can Help Alleviate Separation Anxiety
Dogs have evolved over thousands of years to be our stalwart companions. This means that when we leave, they may experience loneliness and anxiety, which can lead to acting out. Resort staff are familiar with this common issue and can provide attention through group activities or one-on-one time.
4. Dog Kennels are a Great Way to Socialize Your Pet
The pack instinct is very strong in dogs and they crave connection. It’s especially important to socialize puppies so they learn how to adjust to new circumstances. Pet boarding allows them to get used to people and other pups in a safe environment.
5. Dog Boarding is a great solution to Unexpected Travel
Sometimes life throws curveballs and you may find yourself needing to travel suddenly for work or in response to a family emergency. It can

Place Command
PLACE COMMAND
In our training one task we teach is the “place” command this command is useful for many reasons. You can use this command in your home, in public and anywhere where your dog has space to lay down for a short or extended period of time.
Here is a Mulligan in his place command while I (Chloe) do some shopping. This video is over 15 minutes but has been sped up for viewing purposes.
Place Command: Task is for the dog to stay in a specific place and not move from that place until told a release command to break from the task. Place can be used in short or long durations of time. It is typically taught by using blankets, beds, place boards and other indicators of a specific place. Once your dog has mastered it they can place anywhere at any time without an indicator of where to stay like what Mulligan is doing here.
Benefits
⁃ Teaches calmness
⁃ Can be used for keeping your dog from running out the door
⁃ Can be used to keep them out of a specific place like a kitchen or other areas that may not be safe
⁃ Can give a dog a sense of comfort in unfamiliar spaces

If you want to learn this awesome task with your dog reach out to us for a training consultation!
*Do not train this in public stores until mastered in your home with added distractions
