Volunteer Resources is seeking donations of new quilts to help brighten up our patient rooms! The children and youth love these gifts from the community and take the quilts home with them when they leave.

All sizes (31 x 33 inches to double bed) and colours are welcome. Please no knitted or crochet blankets, or quilts that have ties.

We also kindly ask that quilts donated do not include religious symbols, themes, or imagery. Our goal is to provide warm and welcoming items to all members of the community, regardless of faiths, beliefs or spiritually.

If you have any questions, or to coordinate a drop-off, please contact Volunteer Resources at 902-470-6692.

Back to work … yesterday’s post had me at a swim meet away with my son. This morning, I’m home and loading Karen’s lovely quilt, which she mailed to me. I added a close up of those darling wee birds. This fabric collection in this quilt pattern are dreamy …. The cool colours 🥶are nice in this heat too🔥 Wait until you see the pantograph she chose.

🐾Where there are puppy paws…..

there are adorable puppies🐾♥️ This quilt was made by Sarah Schlecht Steele. Sarah makes the most adorable projects, and her fabric stash is enviable😄💞

Sarah utilized an Elizabeth Hartman pattern for the puppies, but then made it into her own one of a kind quilt top … she chose the Paws Pantograph to finish it off.

I think this quilt will be loved for many years to come 🩷❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙

I hope you’re sitting down … 🪑🤯

I was blew away by this magnificent quilt constructed by Gwen Boyce Another quilt that was hard to give back. I wanted to keep it for myself😊

We decided on Dragonfly Dance Pantograph to compliment the dragonflies on some of her fabrics. As well, we chose a gold thread to highlight some of the gold in her fabrics. I think it turned out great.

🎅🏻❄️🎄❤️💚

If you are on my email list, you will have received my latest newsletter this week. I promised to share Julie Hickey’s attic window quilts, and here they are. I love the 3-D effect!

For the first panel, we chose stars and snowflakes to stitch out all over this sweet quilt. I think it just adds to the feeling of being right up in the sky with Santa in his sleigh.

For the second one, we used Wrap It Up Pantograph. I used gold thread, which I think, just adds to the magic of Santa’s visit.

Lastly, Julie inspired me to make my own quilt, which I’m starting next week. The panel I have chosen is the last photo. I can’t wait to get started.
