Snow Day Update! ☃️ Due to the ongoing weather, the Cape Breton SPCA Thrift Store will remain closed today Thursday, January 30th. ❄️
We want to make sure our fur-bulous team, loyal customers, and generous donors continue to be safe. 💙
If you are hoping to drop off donations or shop to show your support, please hold on a little longer. We’ll be open tomorrow Friday, January 31st from 10am-5pm and appreciate your patience. 🌨

We’re not saying you need an excuse to shop. But if you want one. 👀

This Saturday, January 18 is National Use Your Gift Card Day. 🤩

And if you happen to have received (or bought for yourself) a Nova Scotia SPCA Thrift Store Gift Card, this might be your sign to not forget to use it! 💙

We receive donations daily and you never know what items you might find on the shelves. Is it a new, unique mug? A cozy sweater? A purse that will make everyone stop and ask you where you bought it? You won't know until you stop by our store to browse and purr-chase. 😎

Well, well, well… we have a winner! And just as expected, they are rubbing it in everyone’s noses. 🐾 We asked YOU to help pick the best pet. You donated, voted, and rallied for cats or dogs (or both if you simply could not choose). The winner is… drum roll please… 🥁

TEAM CATS! 😻 Congratulations kitties and cat-lovers! 🎉

But don’t be sad doggos – in the end all pets win because donations help pets most in need this holiday season. ✨

Thank you for taking part in the fun and a special shout out to our furr-bulous matching donor! Together, you raised more than $203,000 for local pets AND helped solve a worldwide debate. 🐱🐶

We will be placing a tem-purr-ary hold on accepting donations from Saturday, November 30 to Friday, December 6. We will be open for shopping during those days, so we hope to still see you in our store!

We really appreciate your understanding and continued support! 💙

Also, we do ask that during those days, you do not leave donations outside of our store, as they must be thrown in the trash, resulting in additional costs to us and less funds for our furry friends! 🐾
